I have my ideas about how the character will exit. I want to know what everyone else thinks will happen.

She will probably die of cancer, but I want her to live and just retire from Forrester and spend her life traveling, fighting for the honeless and cancer patients off screen. Be mentioned by Eric and the others now and then. Death is just too depressing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what would be the proper exit for such a great actress but the one thing I'm certain about is that I do hope that she gets to interact with Thorne, Felicia, maybe enven bring back Kristen along with Eric, etc. I especially love scences with Lesli Kay and Winsor Harmon -- they along with Susan are just genuinely emotional and affectionate that it just seems so real.

I forbid myself to think about th inevitable As always, ( ;D ), there are too many things I'd like to SEE (not imagine) Some of these things are the following (things that are not going to happen anyway but I can list them, right?!): #pure romance, old B&B style: for example an evening down by the pool with a romantic dinner, tux and evening dress, Dean Martin, dancing, GOOD conversation, maybe some flirting too (not STIC's latest routine of bickering or sarcasm or pseudo-comical interaction), you know, just a bit of the tax matters scene, vulnerable Steph as a woman who's still in love with her tall, grey, handsome husband and yet a man and a woman who share that unique, deep love that made us fall for them..., them lying on the pool chair, watching th night sky, talking... to sum it up: I want to feel the romantic love between a man and a woman who are still the one for each other after 50+ years #one last big fashion event, a show with a STIC focus..like Eric's last fashion show before he retires, what a big deal it is for him and how Steph supports him, inspires him, shares the final bow with him...maybe using Steph's eyes (like in the Fan fic) as a theme...maybe a collection in light blue?! okay, I get carried away but this could be very nice ;D #make Ridge their son again or at least let Eric finally tell her that he knows that she didn't know back then etc.... #Forrester family scenes, maybe the immediate family taking a mini-vacation, enjoying time together, talking, laughing, being silly, "coffee-cup scenes", STIC being amused about their kids, happy and proud at the end of the day #I want to see STIC really laugh together...like in 1987 around New Year's Eve #one word: tenderness #kisses and signs of affection in every position, from every camera angle, in every style..; #bed scenes: just watching their daily routine when they go to bed until they fall asleep at night; waking up in the morning #bittersweet STIC that also includes dying in Eric's arms or better let both die #STIC, STIC, STIC and STIC on screen #and now the most impossible one: I want to see a "what if" of the aborted wedding from 1997: STIC dancing, celebrating, then without all the guests at night, sharing one last dance in the living-room with the blissful bride in white and the sexy, happy groom As much as I'd love to see Steph die in Eric's arms, I'd prefer the option of her coming back from time to time. So let Steph and Eric remember their silly-kiss conversation about spending a year in Florence and send them there! This way they could get rid of Eric too which they don't use anymore anyway. However, I'd want to see STIC in Italy twice a year (or more ;D ), of course. Okay and now I return to lalala-land. ;D

Steph gets sick again and she and Eric makes the most of the time they have left together and then in heart wrenching scene Steph dies in Eric's arms and since Eric is out of his mind with grief he'll die too eventually.
This is for real what I would want to see happen to STIC. If it has to end...it might as well END. But the focus has to be on STIC and not all the kids or God forbid Brooke.

Of course much of the focus will be on Brooke. Brad Bell does not know how to write it any other way. RIDGE'S exit was more about Brooke than Ridge! Why wouldn't it be that way with Stephanie too. Half into the ending story, Bell will remember that Eric exists and do a Stic scene, then back to Stephanie/Brooke.
At least I do not expect anything other than that.

I am very afraid Cece is right about Bell. I think Steph will get sick and it will be very much about Steph and Brooke. I am afraid STIC will be nothing more than an afterthought. I am also afraid he will write her off with Sally somewhere and that to me does not work at all.
I WANT to see a serious and tender scene with Steph telling Eric that the cancer is back. I WANT to see realness! I WANT to see Eric fall apart like any spouse would then pull himself together and try to be strong for her. I WANT them to decide to make the most of the time they have left. Show me romance, sweetness and seduction. Then at the end, I WANT to see her surrounded by her family. I want to see them all tell her how much she means to them....I know it has been done before but I still want to see it. Finally, I WANT to see just STIC LYING TOGETHER, LOOKING INTO EACH OTHERS EYES, ERIC GENTLY CARESSING HER FACE. She feels safe and happy when she closes her eyes for the final time.

I just want her to announce that she will go on an extended shopping spree with Sally, give her husband a peck, Brooke a friendly slap, smile into the camera, saying "TaTa" and go with a wink.
Well, not exactly, but I feel that it would be fitting for Susan to go like this.

Since Bell penned the cancer story, giving her lung cancer at stage four, I want that to be Stehanie's end.
I want Forrester family interaction.
I want a story like Felicia's dying story was. The family was all there, all gathered around to support each other and be there for their sister's final days. That's how it should be with Stephanie. Brooke can be there, but not front and center and the sole focus of it all. She needs to be in the background with Taylor as supporters of Stephanie's children, grandchildren, and husband.
I want a few scenes of Stephanie and Eric together in bed, at least hinting that they're making love, or have made love...their final times together before she's too sick. I want moments with them sharing memories. Weak moments for Eric where he clings to her because he just can't bear the thoughts of losing her.
But I don't expect any of that. I expect Stephanie will die, but Brooke will be front and center and Stephanie's dying, Susan's final storyline on the show, will be all about Brooke and KKL. Bell has 'hot pants' when it comes to KKL and until someone pours ice water down his pants, every storyline is going to focus on her or her offspring, namely Hope because it would seem Bell has 'hot pants' for her too. Ugh. I'll just have to keep writing what I want in my fanfic.
I don't want Stephanie to 'ride off into the sunset' and return for periodic visits. I want her to leave in a way so that she's gone and done with the ridiculousness that has been this show for the last how many years. Let the mostly untalented younger set take over along with KKL and the rest of the freaking Logans. Once Stephanie/Susan is gone, I won't be tuning in every little bit and having to wade through the triangle from Hades and the Logans.
