Big vote online: top 5 soap operas of all time

In a joint collaboration between ABC News and PEOPLE magazine,  TV fans had the opportunity to vote online for their favorites of all time in many categories and fields of programming through the years. With more than one million votes cast, the results in some of the major categories are being revealed during a two-hour broadcast, a special edition of 20/20, “Best in TV: The Greatest TV Shows of Our Time with Barbara Walters”, which aired last night.

Soap Operas were included in the Best Of TV, and the countdown and winner was revealed online.

#4 The Young and the Restless
#3 Days of our Lives
#2 All My Children
And the winner is.....
#1 General Hospital

Anyone surprised B&B isn't among them? Don't be. B&B has never ever been a popular choice to vote for in polls etc. Nor is B&B popular on magazine covers. One excellent example is CBS Soaps in Depth. CBS has 2 soaps and still B&B can not get any covers!!! ;D
