Today is the last time tv's longest running tv-series Guiding Light will air. RIP GL. Too bad for all its fans!

I watched. I was a fan of the show for many years. I stopped watching in 1996...because my favorite couple was broken apart. I decided to watch the last two epis...just to see how things would be wrapped up. There where still many characters that I remembered. I thought to myself how nice it would be if my favorite couple on the show some how came together again. I did not see this happening though because one of the characters had not been a part of the show in 12 yrs...hardly even mentioned....but, I got the surprise of my year. " Ms. Spaulding, you have a visitor". There he was...and she fell into his arms. It all was very rushed and he looked like death on a cracker....but they did ride off into the sunset together. Made my day!

I watched it on youtube now too...can't believe it...He does look like death warmed over...though, I guess...clothes, lighting and such was totally off (who the hell told them that all this looked good?)...still...this is like my ultimate dream for this show came true. Still amused by Holly going on a tour around the world with Ed...But Alex and Fletcher riding into the sunset together....ULTIMATE!!!!! btw...something I found nice to see...many of the women on GL were not the size 0 type....nice....

Glad you got to see it. I so wish I could figure out how to upload those great epis for you...when they where together in 94/95. I have most of their love scenes. If you don't mind giving me your address, I'd be more than happy to mail the epis to you. Just send me a pm if you want to do it that way. I agree everyone looked pretty bad. None of them had professional make-up or hair and there was no good lighting. They must have let all their people go early. I think everyone did their own make-up and hair...pretty rough looking. ;D

But the lighting and colouring was horrible...seriously...what were they thinking? Still...I liked the ending very much...not a round about mass slaughter...but sort of a happy end. Just like the did on Santa Barbara...though...looking back...the lightign was horrid on hat last eppy as well...but the wardrobe was better chosen... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
