Bill takes pleasure in his coup, while Donna and Brooke don’t believe Katie, but are forced to give their husbands bad news, and Eric has news for Ridge.
Donna and Brooke don’t believe Katie, but she assures them the process of Bill acquiring Forrester Creations is in motion and there’s no stopping him now. They are condescending, saying she doesn't understand how these things work and that the company is not for sale. Katie shocks them by saying Eric borrowed money against the company and couldn’t pay it back so he borrowed some more. The bank let them skate with partial payments, which has pushed them into negative equity and today Bill has signed a letter of intent to buy the company and pay off all the debts. Katie thinks it could be a good thing because Spencer Publications has capital and he wants them all to stay on. They ask if she tried to stop him, but Katie says Bill won’t change who he is because he fell in love with her. Donna thinks he thought of everything by declaring his love and Brooke says Bill is using her. Katie thinks they are wrong, but Donna and Brooke tell her she’s falling in line by encouraging them to stay on and work for Bill, which he knows he needs in order for FC to stay afloat. Brooke and Donna then worry about telling their husbands what’s happening to their company.
Michael from the bank returns to Bill’s office and tells him he doesn’t feel good about the sale of FC. He adds it’s not in Bill’s best interest to act rashly and thinks he should wait until Forrester is forced to default because then he will save a fortune and no one will be the bad guy. Bill thinks Eric has it coming and has rightfully forfeited. He knows no one likes to be the bad guy and that’s why God made him.
In Ridge’s office, Eric tells his son he showed tenacity and maturity during the recent unrest at FC. He thinks the transition of him taking over has already begun. Eric isn’t going anywhere, but it will feel good to loosen his grip a little bit. Ridge is honored and promises he won’t let him down. Eric says his greatest accomplishment is him and he takes a great deal of credit for the man he has become.
After Jackie goes to a nail appointment, Steffy comes into the office to talk to Owen. She implies that he doesn’t get the respect he deserves. She thinks his trust took a beating and wonders how he can get past knowing the person he married isn’t the person he thought she was. Steffy tries to plant seeds of doubt regarding Jackie and thinks her past would be hard to put behind him. Jackie comes to the door and overhears. Owen leaves to take care of some business and Jackie tells Steffy she’s more like her namesake than she realized. Steffy says Owen is her friend and she’s just telling him what she thinks and she thinks Jackie’s past was a pretty big secret to keep. Jackie thinks Steffy has a crush on Owen. Steffy denies it, but wonders if Jackie is what’s best for Owen.
Katie goes to Bill’s office looking defeated and they discuss the situation. Katie says her sisters think she is being used, but Bill counters they don’t have enough respect for her to listen to what she has to say. He will see to it that they do and he vows to inform her if he ever does plan to use her in one of his schemes because while he’s underhanded, he’s not ashamed of it.
Donna goes to Eric’s office who is planning his future retirement. Donna tells him there is something he needs to know.
Brooke comes to see Ridge in his office as he basks in his new standing at FC. Brooke brings him down by saying Bill Spencer never gives up and wants Forrester Creations. Ridge says he can’t have it, but Brooke counters that Bill believes he can and that possibly, he already does.

Bill and Katie face the Forresters, while Jackie lays down the law with Steffy.
Ridge is outraged that Bill swooped in after they were just a few minutes late on the loan. Ridge won’t allow Bill to take over, but Brooke wonders what happens if they lose Forrester forever.
Jackie assures Steffy at the end of the day Owen always comes back to her and she should not be trying to stir things up between them. Jackie suggests she find an unattached young man and states Owen has forgiven her, but Steffy isn’t convinced.
Donna and Eric discuss Katie and Bill when Ridge and Brooke walk in the office. Ridge won’t let a technicality cost them their life’s work. Gloria comes in and confirms the Forrester loan has been called in and Bill has already wired the funds to buy Forrester out of foreclosure. Ridge says if Bill thinks he is going to pull this off he is delusional and they will fight him with everything they have.
Michael comes in Eric’s office and tells everyone he tried to keep things from reaching this point, but Eric took a huge risk by leveraging the company to open a chain of boutiques. It didn't pay off and the bank now owns more of FC than the Forresters do. Michael feels bad, but it’s something they have to accept. Eric can’t do that and Ridge tells Michael to tell the bank to give them another chance or else they will tie everyone up in court for a long time.
Owen comes back to the office and Jackie tells him Steffy is concerned for his happiness. Owen assures Steffy he is fine and Jackie makes her point by kissing Owen in front of Steffy before she leaves. Steffy tells him Jackie is lucky to have an understanding husband like him, but wonders if this marriage will really give him everything he wants, as Jackie returns to listen in. Steffy tells him Jackie is incredible, but he’s being asked to accept things about her he didn’t know about. She says he is a terrific guy and deserves to be in a relationship that is equal and that fulfills him. She doesn’t think Jackie can give that to him and they share a seemingly tempting moment. She tells him to think about it and leaves.
Steffy goes to the elevator and finds Jackie coming off it. Jackie tells her she is too involved and says this needs this to be the last time she visits this building and her husband.
After Michael leaves, Bill and Katie come to the office and learn that Forrester will fight this every step of the way. Bill had no doubt, but thinks this is an opportunity for them. Katie speaks up and Donna and Brooke think she has been brainwashed, but Bill defends her. Bill is just offering to get their financial albatross of their backs. He says it's business as usual and they will now have the opportunity to become an international powerhouse again. He thinks they can all work this out with minimal executive changes. He needs to have someone he trusts in charge and names Katie as CEO, much to everyone’s shock. Ridge says Katie isn’t qualified to be CEO, but Bill thinks they don’t give her enough credit. He has the utmost confidence in her and Katie tells everyone she didn’t advocate the take over, but they need Bill’s help and as much as they hate it, it will happen. Bill says he has faith in her and she has their best interests at heart, which makes her the perfect candidate. Brooke and Donna urge their sister to turn Bill down, but Katie loves the company and urges them to allow Bill to help them flourish. As their CEO she promises to make sure nothing changes. Brooke is stunned Katie is calling herself their CEO and says, “No. You can’t do this,” and asks, “What is that man doing to you?”

Monday, October 05
Taylor returns as Stephanie gets checked out by the doctor, while battle lines are drawn over Forrester Creations.
The doctor comes to check on Stephanie at home, while Steffy and Pam fret over her. Stephanie doesn’t want to be treated like an invalid, but her granddaughter and sister want her to take a break from work. Stephanie can’t show weakness for fear of being put out to pasture. She promises she’ll be fine and that nothing will stop her.
Katie insists she loves the company and wants to save it and defends Bill’s actions to Brooke, Donna, Ridge and Eric. Bill in turn defends Katie when they all gang up on her and Brooke accuses him of controlling her. Katie says she doesn’t need Brooke’s protection anymore and Bill has confidence in Katie saying she is the only one with loyalty to both camps. Ridge and Eric think Bill is getting ahead of himself since he doesn't officially own FC yet. Brooke asks for a moment alone with her sisters and the women head to Ridge’s office.
Before the doctor leaves, she promises not to tell anyone about Stephanie’s illness, but wants her to take care of herself and get help because her issues can be treated and managed. Stephanie insists she is not sick, but Pam and Steffy think she needs to tell the family about her stroke. Stephanie says she will be fine and doesn’t want anyone to know about it. Taylor comes home and asks what the doctor was doing pulling out of the driveway. Stephanie says she was here on hospital business and an exasperated Pam leaves. Stephanie asks for a cup of something, but she can’t come up with the word. Taylor goes to get her some tea and Steffy calls her out on it, but Stephanie says it was just a senior moment. Steffy begs her to tell Taylor because she can help her, but Stephanie doesn’t want to be her patient. Taylor returns with tea and the women catch up, but Stephanie avoids talking about her stroke.
As the men engage in verbal battle in Eric’s office, Donna and Brooke try to get Katie to see Bill as they do. Katie defends him, but they insist he is a player and using her. Katie says she has been handed a tremendous opportunity by a man who loves her and she is going to take it. Donna doesn’t think Bill really loves her and Katie gets upset. She tells them to take notice because the ugly duckling is coming out of her shell. Donna and Brooke think she is capable and talented, but aligning herself with Bill will only get her hurt. Katie tells them how hard it has been for her to live in their shadow as their sister. She thinks they might be a little jealous of her this one time, but asks them to back her as CEO so they all win. She says the takeover will happen and promises she won’t let them down if they give her their support, but Brooke says they can’t do that.
At Jackie M, Whip sees Pam at her desk who gives him a lemon bar. He tells her she’s been a little somber lately and asks if anything is bothering her. Pam says she’s fine, but Whip asks if Stephanie is okay because she hasn’t been herself. Pam says her sister is not always easy to explain and Whip asks her to keep an eye on her because she’s been falling behind on some reports and it’s not like her. Pam says she’s been going through a hard time lately, but she’ll be fine. Whip offers his help if she needs it, but Pam says Stephanie likes to handle things herself.

Tuesday, October 06
Taylor learns about Stephanie, Eric tries to raise money, Katie and Bill discuss the future, and Ridge, Brooke and Donna fear Bill is controlling Katie.
Eric, Ridge, Donna and Brooke try and figure out how to pay off the hundred million dollar loan, or else they will have to work for Bill Spencer. Eric suggests they sell the beach house, which Stephanie transferred back to him so he could offer it to Stephen and Beth to live in. Donna and Brooke marvel over their sister not seeing how wrong this all is.
In Bill’s suite, Katie paces, as Bill tries to make her see neither one of them did anything wrong. She thinks it will be hard to walk in to work tomorrow, but Bill has every confidence in her and once things turn around, they will see what a great move it was. She wonders if FC pulls a rabbit out of the hat and saves their company on their own, will he go back to New York? She reminds him how much she has invested in him and how upset her sisters are with her right now. He tells her he has invested just as much in her and thinks she is just listening to her sister’s doubts about him. She wonders if she can trust him and he says together, they can set the world on fire. He likes his life better with her in it and doesn’t want to disappoint her and he doesn’t want her to disappoint him. Katie thinks he might not like the way she runs the company. She wants to do this and thinks she can make everyone proud, but if she doses it she will run the company on her terms. She will show him real success comes from making a harmonious atmosphere at work, not just the bottom line. She will be loyal to him, but also to her sisters and Forrester and most importantly to herself. She asks if she still has a job and Bill grabs her to him, impressed that she’s not intimidated by him. He is honored to have her in his life because she is the best thing to happen to him. She is the bright spot in his future and he tells her it will be one hell of a ride. He calls her ‘Madame CEO’ and they kiss.
As Stephanie and Taylor talk about Taylor’s trip, Steffy comes down and urges Stephanie to get some rest. Stephanie gets up to put the tray of tea away, but drops it on the floor. Taylor wonders what happened and Steffy says it’s time for her to know. Stephanie protests, but Steffy tells her mother Stephanie had a stroke. Taylor tells her friend this is not a small thing and she should get treatment to recover her strength. Steffy apologizes if she did the wrong thing, but Taylor is glad she was there for Stephanie.
Steffy leaves the room and Taylor reminds Stephanie she is a survivor and says they have to get her physical therapy, but Stephanie doesn’t want anyone else to know. Taylor thinks everyone should know so they can catch any signs of another stroke, but Stephanie would rather be hit by a train than be pitied. Taylor tells her the people in her life love her and want to keep her around. They will be there for her and will deal with it because she taught them to be fearless. Stephanie says she is not and asks Taylor to not be a doctor, but to just be a friend. Taylor can do that and thinks they make a pretty good team. Taylor promises she will not be alone or end up helpless.
As Eric shows the beach house to the realtor, Ridge, Brooke and Donna wonder if they should fire Katie. They discuss Bill and Katie’s relationship and Brooke thinks they should give them the benefit of the doubt. Ridge doesn’t think she should see the best in Bill especially after today. Ridge thinks Katie will just be Bill’s puppet and doesn't understand why she doesn’t see that. Donna says Katie is not the girl they once knew because Bill is changing her right before their eyes.

Wednesday, October 07
The Forrester/Spencer debate rages on, Bill Sr. pops up, and Jackie confides in Whip, while Steffy tells Owen about her run-in with Jackie.
Eric tells Ridge, Brooke and Donna the cabin in Big Bear is also on the market. It’s not enough, but would be a start because no one will take Forrester from the family!
Jackie meets Whip in her office and Whip notices she’s on edge. They discuss the cruisewear line and then Owen. Jackie wishes he didn’t have Steffy whispering in his ear and undermining her marriage. Jackie thinks she is cute and sweet, but definitely too involved. Whip says maybe Owen is better off with a 'girl' like Steffy because he is a 'boy' and is out of her league. Jackie loves him though, but Whip wonders if that’s enough.
Steffy hangs out at the coffee shop and Owen joins her noticing her skateboard. She shies away from meeting him to show him some tricks and tells him she can’t come to his office. He wonders what’s going on and she relays that Jackie doesn't want her involved in their marriage. Owen can’t believe Jackie asked her to keep her distance, but says he is the luckiest guy in the world to share a life with her. Steffy admits some of the things she said to him before about his marriage were ‘uncool’, but he thinks she was just looking out for him. He says he loves Jackie and is devoted to her and nothing will ever change that.
After Bill boosts a concerned Katie’s confidence about facing her family at work, he tells Justin over the phone that he has faith in Katie being accepted as CEO, and says, “And she has complete faith in me.”
Katie heads into work and debates the Bill issue with everyone. Ridge accuses Katie of being naive or brainwashed because Bill hates them and will get rid of them within the year. He doesn’t even think she should be working there anymore because she is sleeping with the enemy. Katie wonders if they are firing her and Brooke says it’s not what they want, but there is a hostile takeover going on. Katie thinks they need Bill and both sides throw out their arguments again. Katie wants them to trust her, but Ridge says there is too much at stake. They wonder why she wants to be with a man who doesn’t care about her family and Brooke urges her to make Bill listen.
Bill takes out a DVD with his father’s photo on it, but Katie comes in before he can look at it. She tells him how badly things went at FC and he thinks they are just being self-serving and encourages her to not buckle under. Katie sees Bill Sr.’s DVD and asks about it. Bill says it contains some of his last words before he died and then tells her he is proud of her and her family will eventually thank her for what she’s doing. He asks if she trusts him and she says she does. They hug and Bill coldly looks at his father’s DVD.

Steffy takes Owen to Paradise Cove, while Bill buys the Forrester beach house and then asks Katie to move in with him.
As Brooke, Rick and Eric pack up the beach house, Rick tells his father he understands they need to sell it, but he loved living there. Eric offers to let his son move in with him, but Rick declines. They pledge to have another place like this again someday and to not let Bill takeover the company or destroy Katie. They discuss Katie’s involvement in the takeover and how she isn’t ready to be CEO. Rick hopes Bill sees they won’t go down without a fight and back off. He also hopes the people who buy the house will sell it back to them some day. Brooke thinks anything is possible and they leave.
In his office, Bill instructs Jarrett to adjust his attitude because they are in business and not a non-profit. Jarrett runs off to do Bill’s bidding and then Katie walks in. She tells him she cleared her schedule as he requested and he says he has a surprise for her. They flirt and Katie says she feels like a whole new person and wonders if she would have discovered this side of her without him. She thinks maybe they are a match made in heaven and Bill says, “Or someplace.”
At the coffee house, Owen tells Steffy he has to go to the Shady Marlin for Bridget to pick up some designs. He asks Steffy to go with him and they take off.
Owen and Steffy board the Shady Marlin and while Owen finds the sketches, Steffy goes outside. When she comes back, she takes the wheel and says she is kidnapping him. Steffy steers as they go out on the water and tells him she kidnapped him so he could have a mental health holiday. She wants to take him to Paradise Cove and Owen thinks Jackie would love this. Steffy says she’s not there right now and if he opened himself up a little bit he’d realize they might not be right for each other. She wants to be a good friend and wants him to be happy. If Jackie makes him happy, cool. If not, then she is there for him.
At the office, Eric closes on the beach house with the realtor and Rick asks who the buyer is. He learns it’s a corporation and they paid the full asking price in cash. Eric hopes whoever bought it loves it as much as they did.
Bill brings a blindfolded Katie to the beach house, and reveals that he bought it fully furnished. Jarrett comes in with boxes and drops the one with Bill Sr.’s DVD in it. He picks it up and then goes back to the car to get the rest of the boxes. Katie wonders why he bought the house and realizes Eric doesn’t know Bill is the new owner. Bill confirms saying he bought it through one of his companies and wired Eric the money. Katie wonders if this is just another way to stick it to the Forresters, but Bill says the Forresters needed the money to pay off their loan. Katie feels bad, but Bill tells her to stop worrying about her sisters because she can stand on her own two feet. She says, “Yep. All by myself.” Bill tells her she’s not alone because she has him. No woman has gotten to him like she has and he likes it. That’s why he bought the place, so they can watch the sunset together and use it as a refuge. He asks her to move in with him and Katie asks why. He responds that she has touched him in a way he didn't think was possible and he doesn’t want to live without her. She doesn’t want to live without him either. She feels disconnected from everyone she is close to and wants them to see him as she does. She knows they will one day, but until then she would love to move in with him.
Brooke, Eric and Rick discuss the beach house and Bill Spencer. Brooke says there are other beach houses, but there is only one Forrester Creations and they will not let Bill get one more thing from them.

Friday, October 09 2009
After defending Bill to Brooke, Katie watches Bill Sr.’s DVD, while Owen must rescue Steffy on the Shady Marlin.
Brooke returns to the beach house for Eric’s garage door openers and finds Katie and Bill making out on the couch. She realizes Bill bought the house and they bicker. Bill leaves so Katie and Brooke can talk and Brooke tells her sister she wishes she could open her eyes to what’s going on. Katie tells her she is moving in with Bill and they argue some more. Katie accuses her of not believing a guy like Bill could be interested in a girl like her, but Brooke says she doesn’t think Bill deserves her. Katie finds it insulting that everyone is accusing Bill of using her and thinks she can help Forrester do damage control and protect the company. Katie thinks Bill has been open and honest about his intentions since day one, which proves he doesn’t have ulterior motives. Brooke knows she won’t be able to change her mind and hugs her sister. Katie tearfully asks her not to hate her.
On the Shady Marlin, Steffy tells Owen she isn’t a home wrecker and isn’t coming on to him, but wonders if Jackie is right for him. Owen suggests since they are in the middle of the ocean, they should go swimming.
Jarrett meets with Bill who asks him to pick up something in a safe from a jeweler. He wants it brought directly to him, but to be very careful because it’s very special to him. Jarrett knowingly smiles and says, “Yes sir.”
After Owen and Steffy take a dip, Steffy wants to head back in the water, but Owen says he’ll pass on this one. Steffy playfully grabs him and tries to pull him in with her, but when he resists, Steffy falls overboard.
Owen fishes a lifeless Steffy out of the water and performs CPR on her. Steffy comes to and a relieved Owen notes she hit her head. Steffy says, “You saved me.”
Katie unpacks Bill’s boxes and finds Bill Sr.’s DVD. She plays it on her laptop and Bill Sr. speaks to his son about his unrequited love for Stephanie and how horribly Eric treated her. Bill Sr. offers Bill Jr. his name, wealth and power on the condition that he avenge Stephanie Forrester. He wants him to help her understand what he could have done for her if she let him. He instructs his son to take Eric down, along with everyone who disrespected her including Brooke and Donna. He wants him to take Forrester, as well as anything else that means something to him, away from Eric by any means possible. Bill walks in and sees Katie watching the DVD and coldly tells her she shouldn’t have watched it. Katie can’t believe he is doing this for his father and wonders if she is part of the ‘any means possible’ part. She asks if she is just a means to an end and Bill stops her with a passionate kiss. He tells her to never question his intentions towards her because they are beyond that. He doesn't want any of what his father gave him if it means he has to live one day without her. He orders her to never question his feelings again and says, “Tell me you believe me."
Brooke calls a private investigator for information on Bill’s personal life. She then changes her mind because Katie would be upset with her and hangs up.

Monday, October 12
Bill and Katie come to terms with their relationship, while Jackie and Owen do the same.
Bill vows to Katie he is not using her. She asks if he loves her and when he doesn’t answer, she rails at him about the DVD. Bill assures her he would never do anything just because his father asked him to. Bill wants FC, but not as much as he wants her. He hasn’t lied to her and he tells her he loves her. It’s not a word he uses often and he certainly wouldn’t use it to gain advantage in a business deal. He backtracks and says a few months ago he would have, but not with her and not now. He kisses her and says he’s told her how he feels about her, but sometimes words don’t cut it and they get more passionate.
As she comes to on the Shady Marlin, Owen helps Steffy get her bearings and tells her what happened. She declares that he saved her life.
At Jackie M, Nick wonders where Owen is and asks his mother what’s going on. Jackie tells her son Owen has forgiven her, but he’s still struggling with her past. Nick thinks Owen will get this figured out eventually and urges her to be patient. Jackie would normally agree, but Steffy is the other voice in his ear. Nick thinks she is a kid and that she can’t be much of a threat to her marriage. Jackie wishes Owen could see things the way he and Whip do and Nick wonders why Whip knows about it. Jackie says Whip is her friend and Nick notes Owen could say the same thing about Steffy.
In the boat’s cabin, Steffy ices her head and tells Owen Taylor is coming to pick her up. She feels bad their adventure turned sour and thanks him again for saving her.
Owen returns to Jackie M and Nick asks for the boat keys and Bridget’s sketches. Owen forgot to bring them and explains what happened. Nick can’t believe they took out his boat without asking if it was okay and wonders what’s going on with him and Steffy. Owen assures him he loves Jackie and then she returns to the office.
Nick leaves the office and Owen tells Jackie what happened on the Shady Marlin and how he saved Steffy’s life. He says when something like that happens it gets you thinking and that everything is so much clearer to him right now. Jackie cries and asks what he sees. Owen responds that life is fragile and fleeting and he can’t believe he almost lost Steffy. He wonders what if he really lost Jackie: the one woman who means everything in the world to him. He can’t believe he almost let her past come between them because all they have is now and that means him loving her. He doesn’t want to question her ever again and asks her to forgive him for being a fool. He asks if she can love him again and she takes his hand and kisses it. She says yes and they kiss.
Taylor comes to the Shady Marlin and Steffy explains what happened, calling Owen her hero.
After Bill and Katie have sex, she tells him she is reassured and she is staying. She apologizes for doubting him and he promises to never give her reason to again. He says they have to trust each other and he gives her diamond earrings as a gift. She loves them and thanks him, noting he continues to surprise her. He tells her to hold on because she is riding the Dollar Bill Express.

Tuesday, October 13
Stephanie makes a decision regarding her future, while Jackie dashes Owen’s hopes.
Whip and Nick discuss Stephanie and her taking credit for the company's success. Nick wonders why she can’t be a team player.
Pam helps Stephanie with her work so no one knows there is something wrong with her. Stephanie stops her and says she’s had a stroke and can’t do this anymore. Pam urges her to tell everyone what’s really going on so they can understand her recent behavior and help, but Stephanie would rather be thought of as a witch than an invalid. She’s scared and doesn’t know what to do next. Pam tries to bolster her confidence in getting past this, but Stephanie points out that she can’t remember words, can’t write and is angry and frustrated. She has accomplished something at Jackie M and she doesn't want to feel insignificant again. Pam vows to help her fight it, as would everyone else if they knew what was going on.
Nick and Whip come to Stephanie’s office to talk with her, but Stephanie cuts them off and apologizes for being rude in their last meeting. Whip asks what’s going on with her and Stephanie says she’s accomplished everything she came to do and it’s time to move on. Nick and Whip are shocked, as is Pam, but Stephanie thanks Nick for everything he’s done for her and says she wants to focus on other things. Nick tells her she isn’t quitting and assumes something has happened. Nick points out they built something there and she is a part of Jackie M and they won’t let her quit. Stephanie appreciates that but this is just a chapter in her life she will always cherish.
Steffy and Thomas dine at Il Giardino and talk about her adventure with Owen. Thomas wonders if she has a thing for Owen and she just scoffs. Steffy reminds her brother Owen is married, but she isn’t so sure their marriage will last. However, if it works and Jackie makes him happy then that’s all that matters. Thomas wants Steffy to be careful, but she insists she and Owen are just friends. She does worry though that Owen will be missing out on a lot being married to someone so much older.
Jackie comes home to Owen cooking dinner still glowing from their earlier conversation and Owen assures her he meant every word of it. He says tonight is about treasuring every moment they have together. She brings up Steffy and the fact that she probably has a crush on him, but Owen assures her she has nothing to worry about. Jackie is impressed that he saved her life and she thinks of him as a hero. Owen says they have an hour before dinner is ready and they think of a way to stimulate Jackie’s appetite, but as they kiss, the doorbell rings. Andrea from the surrogacy agency walks in saying she’s there for the appointment Owen set up. Owen forgot about about it, but tells Jackie he doesn’t think it hurts to explore their options and eagerly gets down to business with Andrea, but Jackie doesn’t look as enthusiastic.
Jackie and Owen listen to Andrea who gives them a listing of women who are available to be their surrogate. Owen gets excited to meet with some of the surrogates, but Jackie isn’t sure how soon they will get on this. After Andrea leaves, Jackie tells Owen this is unexpected because it hasn’t been on their radar. Owen just wants to be a dad with her as the mom and Jackie says she didn’t realize how important this was to him. It wasn’t until he experienced the love between the two of them and he wants to bring a baby into it to share it with. Jackie tells him she is sorry, but she can’t raise another child.

Owen confides in Steffy, Nick goes to Jackie for help, and Taylor offers Stephanie her support.
Jackie tells a confused and disappointed Owen she can’t raise another child. Owen thinks it will be amazing and fun, but Jackie reminds him raising a baby is a lot of work. Jackie thinks their life is wonderful and they are just getting started and caring for a child is not a part of that, but Owen can’t accept that. He thinks it will be good for them and he will do all the heavy lifting, but Jackie implores him to listen to her: she is not ready to share that experience. She begs him not to get his hopes up on this.
In Stephanie’s office, Nick and Whip try to reason with Stephanie, but she sticks to her guns about leaving the company. Pam tries to help and explains that it’s time. Stephanie says she is past her prime and Whip and Nick laugh telling her it’s exactly the opposite. She asks them to keep Pam on and starts to leave. Whip extends his hand, but Stephanie can’t shake it. Instead, she gives him a hug and leaves.
At home, Thomas and Taylor discuss Steffy and Owen. Thomas doesn’t think his sister will go after a married guy, but Taylor wonders if Steffy is thinking Owen’s marriage will fall apart.
Thomas leaves to meet some friends, as Pam and Stephanie walk in. Stephanie tells Taylor she is not going back to work at Jackie M. Taylor asks for a moment alone with Stephanie and Pam leaves. Taylor questions her decision thinking she will recover from her stroke if she has the people who love her around her. Stephanie tells Taylor she’s old and tired and wants to bow out gracefully on her own terms. Taylor doesn’t think it’s like her to give up. She reminds her that she once told her not to give up and now she won’t give up on her. Stephanie repeats that she’s tired and that she can’t, but Taylor thinks otherwise and offers to be her strength. Taylor says she loves her and asks her not to push her away and they hug.
At Il Giardino, Steffy looks in her bag and finds a magazine with Jackie and Owen’s photo on the cover. She thinks that Jackie better be making him happy. Steffy gets up to leave and sees Owen come in. He sits down with her and says Jackie doesn’t want to have a baby, but he doesn’t blame her and thinks they will work it out. Steffy says he is a very special man.
Whip and Nick can’t understand why Stephanie quit and Nick is determined to find out what’s going on.
Jackie looks at the surrogate information as Nick comes over to tell her about Stephanie. Jackie is stunned and thinks maybe they should be worried about her. They note they are more concerned about her as a person than what it will do for their business. Jackie thinks they have to convince her not to leave them for her sake, as well as theirs.

Thursday, October 15
Jackie tries to get through to Stephanie, as Brooke and Donna do the same with Katie.
Jackie comes to the office and tells Bridget and Nick Stephanie’s office is already cleared out, but Jackie is determined to get through to her.
Taylor tells a suitcase toting Stephanie it’s a great idea to go away for awhile, but Stephanie tells her she isn’t going away, she is moving out because it’s time to get on with her new life. Jackie comes to the house upset Stephanie left the company, but didn’t tell her why.
Taylor leaves the room and Jackie lays into Stephanie about quitting. Stephanie wants her to leave it alone, but Jackie continues, even suggesting changing the name of their label to J & S to reflect Stephanie and asks her not to leave. Stephanie doesn’t think she should change the name and says they don’t need her. Jackie can’t believe she has finally found a female friend in her worst enemy and urges her to stay. Stephanie says sometimes life makes decisions for you and asks her to let her go. Stephanie declares her company is fine and will be better than ever, but Jackie says it will never be better than it is now.
Stephanie leaves to grab the rest of her things so she can leave and Taylor returns to the room. She tells Jackie Stephanie loves everyone at Jackie M and working there. Jackie notes Stephanie seems sad and Taylor says she’s more afraid and she is afraid for her too. Jackie realizes Stephanie is ill and Taylor says she can’t discuss it. Jackie presses her and Taylor admits Stephanie had a stroke and is aware of the chances of another reoccurrence. Stephanie comes to the top of the stairs and hears Taylor explaining how Stephanie doesn’t want to feel vulnerable.
Ridge and Brooke look at selling one of FC’s Paris flats and Donna enters. They tell her Bill bought the beach house and she thinks at least Bill has shown his true colors and Katie won’t be able to ignore that, but Brooke informs her Katie has moved in with him. Ridge can’t worry about her right now, as he needs to focus on raising money to pay off the bank note. Donna and Brooke tell him to focus on designing and they will handle Bill Spencer. Brooke says eventually the only way they will be able to pull themselves out of this slump is by selling Forrester Designs. Donna wonders what happens to Katie if they succeed in saving the company. Ridge thinks Bill will throw her out like yesterday’s trash and Brooke says they need to go over there and save their sister.
As Bill and Katie greet each other in the morning, he asks if they have resolved their issues from last night. Katie says they are good, but as he goes to get dressed, Katie glances at Bill Sr.’s DVD with concern.
Bill comes out to find Katie who has made him breakfast, but Bill doesn’t usually eat breakfast. He eats her meal anyway and Katie asks him if he dislikes Eric because of his father. Bill doesn’t think in terms of like and dislike and tells Katie he is not out to punish the Forresters for his father’s broken heart. Katie suggests he invest in FC instead of waiting for them to default on the loan, but Bill tells her it’s better business this way.
After Bill leaves, Katie watches Bill Sr.’s DVD again. Brooke and Donna walk in and overhear him asking his son to avenge Stephanie Forrester by taking down Brooke, Donna and Eric. Brooke and Donna make their presence known and Katie assures them Bill doesn’t want revenge. The sisters think she is just in shock, but Katie tells them Bill denied that he’s using her for revenge. She tells them she loves Bill, as well as them and asks her not to make her choose.

Friday, October 16
Jackie M rallies around Stephanie, while Bill and Ridge verbally spar and Brooke and Donna urge Katie to leave Bill.
Brooke and Donna don’t want to make Katie choose between them and Bill, but point out he is using her. Katie continues to defend him and insists she is still loyal to them. Donna thinks Bill isn’t only tying to steal their company, but her as well. Katie makes it clear she believes in Bill and the fact that he wants to help FC, not destroy it. Brooke calls Bill the ‘big bad wolf’ and urges her not to let him tear them apart. Katie implores her sisters to see how much she cares about Bill and asks them to give him a chance for her. Donna reminds Katie of Bill’s manipulation of her when he first came to town and says he is doing exactly what his father told him to do. Katie thinks Bill has changed and it hurts her that they refuse to believe he wants a future with her. Brooke is sorry, but says Bill knows their biggest vulnerability isn’t the company, but her, their sweet baby sister.
Jackie comes to the office and tells Owen, Bridget, Nick, Pam and Whip that Stephanie resigned because she had a stroke. Pam makes it obvious she already knew and Nick questions her about not telling them. Pam explains she is loyal to her sister and Whip defends her saying Stephanie wouldn’t want anyone to know. Nick says it’s up to them to convince Stephanie she is still needed around the office. He instructs everyone to clear their schedules because he’s got a plan.
Taylor doesn't want Stephanie to move out and says she won’t let her go by herself. As they debate it, Bridget, Pam, Owen, Whip, Nick and Jackie come in dressed in cheerleader and football player outfits. They do a cheer for Stephanie and reveal T-shirts with her photo and ‘Team Stephanie’ written on it. Stephanie continues to stick to her guns, but they all rally around her and insist they are there for her. Stephanie says she can’t physically do this, but Jackie tells her they were there for her when the company was going under and now it’s their turn to help her. Jackie says she matters to them and they want to see her happy and back to being her bossy, stubborn self. Nick tells her Jackie M is family but it’s incomplete without her. Stephanie thanks Nick for extending a hand when she needed it and tells Jackie she taught her a lot about forgiveness, and even though this was all very charming, her recovery will take months. They assure her they will help her and Stephanie can’t believe how extraordinary their motley crew works. She thanks them for picking her back up and agrees to be the leader of the pack once again. Nick tells her he wants to welcome her back, but she has to do the cheer with them and Stephanie reluctantly joins in.
On the phone, Ridge tells the bank they will get their full quarter’s $25 million payment because they sold some property. Bill comes to his office and Ridge tells him the company will never be his. Bill counters he is their only hope and they exchange barbs. Ridge tells Bill if he wants one, he has a fight, but to leave Katie out of it. Bill insists Katie is important to him and he is trying to save the company, but Ridge thinks he is ready to stab them in the back. Bill tells him to call if he needs help raising the millions because the Forrester Mansion would be a nice second home for him and Katie.
Bill comes in as Brooke and Donna beg their sister to not fall for him. Brooke tells him they heard the DVD and they won't let Katie be a part of his vendetta. She is coming home with them and Brooke demands her sister tell Bill his hold on her is over.

Monday, October 19
Brooke starts to come around to Bill’s way of thinking, as Stephanie tells Thorne about her stroke.
Bill tells Brooke Katie is staying put and Donna says they want to hear that from Katie. Katie tells her sisters she loves Bill and loves them too but she isn’t going to walk away from him because they don’t trust him. They can’t believe she is siding with Bill, but he thinks Katie is siding with progress and success. It’s about saving Forrester Creations not his father’s issues with Eric. Bill explains how he will be helping them and Katie thinks it will work too. Bill thinks they can benefit each other, but Donna says he will never be their savior.
Brooke and Donna leave and Bill wonders if Katie still doubts his feelings for her and that’s why she was watching the DVD again. Katie says she believes in him, but Bill points out her sisters are still wary. He does think that Brooke might be starting to believe in him though.
Eric laments having to sell their properties to raise the cash in order to make their first payment to the bank, especially the Big Bear cabin. Ridge thinks they can eventually buy it back. Eric says they will win the battle the Forrester way with diligence and talent and no one will get their hands on their company, certainly not Bill Spencer.
Thorne comes to see Stephanie and tells her he feels like she’s avoiding the family. Stephanie admits to her stroke and Thorne is upset she kept it from them. They discuss the situation and Thorne is happy she is taking care of herself. Stephanie says the important thing is she isn't alone anymore and Jackie M has made her feel part of their family. Thorne wonders about her real family and Stephanie assures him they will always be family, but she found a second one at Jackie M. Thorne misses her and doesn’t like the distance between them. He makes her promise she’ll let him be there for her. Stephanie would like that and Thorne wants to tell the family, but Stephanie will do that when she’s ready. Thorne says Eric cares a lot about her and he still holds out hope that one day she and Eric will get back together. Stephanie asks about Thorne's life and he bemoans all the problems going on at FC and tells her Bill Spencer is threatening to buy it out from under them. Stephanie becomes incensed upon learning that Katie is involved with Bill and might become CEO. She gets worked up thinking the Logans are bringing FC down.
Brooke and Donna meet Ridge and Eric at the office and as they discuss the situation, Eric learns Bill bought the beach house. Donna and Brooke tell Eric about Bill Sr.’s DVD and Eric is aghast. Donna thinks Bill is the reason for their family and business falling apart and there’s nothing they can do. Brooke outlines Bill’s beliefs for the future of FC and thinks he may have a point.
Bill and Katie play chess as they talk about business. Katie agrees with Bill’s agenda, but doesn’t think her sisters will. Bill thinks Brooke is coming around and if they get her on their side, they’ll have an easier time with everyone else. Some flirtatious banter ensues and they start to make out.
Bill calls Brooke to tell her he wants everyone to be involved so he is giving Eric one more chance. He wants her to convince them to accept it to make it work for everybody, but when she tells the group Bill wants to come by tomorrow to make one last offer, Eric, Ridge and Donna refuse. Brooke thinks the only way to flourish and thrive is to consider Bill’s offer. Brooke loves the company and the only way to not lose it is to have Katie as CEO and accept Bill’s offer. She wonders what alternative do they have?

Tuesday, October 20
Agreements are made regarding Forrester Creations, while Jackie M ponders what the sale will mean for them.
Katie comes out dressed and ready for the meeting with Forrester, impressing Bill. He thinks Eric will take the deal or else the company will fail. Justin comes to the beach house with the papers for the sale of FC and Bill says, “Forrester Creations is about to the enter the Katie Logan era.”
At FC, Donna, Brooke, Ridge and Eric prepare for their meeting with Bill and Katie. Brooke still thinks they should consider the deal, but Eric and Ridge are opposed.
At Jackie M, Stephanie gets back into the swing of things at work and everyone assures her they don’t want her pushing herself. Whip comes in with news about Bill and FC and Stephanie says it’s true, Bill is buying the company because the company is in dire straits. Nick says if Bill gets hold of the company, they will be too because Forrester will eclipse everyone. Bridget wants to think positive for her parents and hopes Bill doesn’t succeed. She lashes out at Stephanie when she makes a comment about Brooke, while Nick and Jackie worry.
Bill, Katie and Justin come to Eric’s office and Katie looks uncomfortable. She wants to make things as easy as possible for everyone, but Bill plainly asks if they are going to take the company to new heights or be the biggest flame out in history? Bill has Justin play a DVD of his father’s history with Spencer Publications. No one is impressed and Katie says Bill was only trying to point out the similarities between their companies. Bill and Katie explain how nothing would change within the company, expect they won’t have any debt and would benefit from being under the Spencer umbrella. Bill thinks it’s a win win situation and believes Brooke is starting to agree with him. Brooke thinks some of it makes sense, but there is a lot to consider. Bill, Katie and Justin describe the stock options and benefits they, as well as their children and grandchildren, would receive. Bill says there is only one person in this room he trusts as CEO and that’s Katie because she will be loyal to him, as well as have their best interests at heart. Brooke asks Bill and Justin to leave so they can talk to Katie alone.
After the men exit, Brooke tells everyone she thinks they can make this work, but tells Katie she has to do exactly as she says. Brooke says Katie will be the CEO, but they will all be in it together as a family making the decisions and being loyal only to each other. Katie tells her she is loyal to them and loves them. She wants the company to succeed and so does Bill. Brooke says Katie will be the public face of Forrester, but Ridge will make the day-to-day decisions and all important meetings will be held in FC offices, not at Spencer headquarters. Brooke asks if Katie can be loyal to them over anyone else and Katie says absolutely. Bill returns and asks if they have a deal. Ridge says Katie will be the CEO, but she will be their only connection to Spencer Publications. Bill agrees to put that in writing and everyone else says they are in agreement with the deal.
Jackie finds Whip in her office, who stumbled upon the book of surrogates. She explains Owen wants kids, but she doesn’t think she can give that to him. Whip says some people have a burning desire to have children, but not him. He does have burning desires, but not that one.
Nick tells Stephanie he feels bad about Forrester too and Stephanie says it didn’t have to happen because Eric put his loyalties in the wrong place. Nick wonders if he’ll take the deal and Stephanie can’t even imagine it.
