Monday, November 3rd
Taylor reminded Ridge that he was one of the most famous people in L.A., a celebrated designer, a father of four, and one of the most photographed guys in town, but was basically homeless and living out of his car. Taylor said that she and the children never wanted Ridge to leave and that it hadn't felt like home since he left. She encouraged Ridge to move back home.
Stephanie walked in and Ridge asked her if she had orchestrated the whole intervention. She said she had not, but she would have if she had thought she could pull it off. Thomas backed her up and said nothing was planned in advance; it was a spontaneous request. Steffy said they all realized they held the same dream-for their family to be reunited.
Steffy and Thomas reminisced about the bond their family once shared and said they missed it. Steffy said if Ridge planned to marry Brooke so that R.J. could have that same dynamic, she would understand. Stephanie chimed in and said that since Brooke had four kids by four different men, she seriously doubted it was possible that Brooke's kids would ever share the same family feelings that Ridge and Taylor's kids had shared.
Steffy asked Ridge if he remembered the bond their family once shared. He said he did. She asked him point-blank if he missed it. Ridge said their family had shared wonderful times in the past, but people had to move forward, and not cling to past happiness, which could keep them from living each season of their lives fully.
Stephanie turned Ridge's words around and used them against him. She asked if that was what he was doing with Brooke by holding onto a relationship that should have been left in the past. She said that Ridge and Brooke broke up and made up ad infinitum and that all Ridge had ever gotten from Brooke was a lot of disappointment. She said Nick was a revolving door that Ridge and Brooke's relationship continually passed through. Taylor defended Ridge and said Ridge did that because he loved Brooke. Ridge said yes, he did, and asked if that was so hard to understand. Taylor said it was not hard to understand and that is why she let Ridge go. But she reminded Ridge that love didn't guarantee happiness.
Taylor said she had not been afraid of much in life, but she had always been afraid of Brooke and the love Brooke and Ridge shared. Taylor said she was not afraid of it anymore, and she knew Ridge still loved Brooke, but Taylor had become a more confident person and thought she could be a lot sexier than Brooke ever dreamed of being. Steffy and Thomas were disgusted by the "how sexy Mom could be if she wanted" talk, and suggested they all go and play tennis.
Stephanie was happy to see Ridge's family together and having fun. She pulled Taylor aside and warned her that Brooke might have kicked Ridge out of her house, but that she would be on red alert once she realized Taylor was making a play to get Ridge back.
Nick and Katie played another round of Nerf basketball one-on-one as they kissed and giggled. Nick was winded and suggested they call the game a tie. Katie protested and said she wanted to continue to play. Nick said Katie threw the ball all wild and then he had to chase it. Katie said if Nick didn't smoke so many cigars, he wouldn't have so much trouble breathing. Nick said Katie played the heart transplant victim card to get special treatment. The two laughed and bantered and Katie rhetorically asked Nick if they would always be happy.
Katie mentioned to Nick that she heard "Mom gossip" that Rick had moved in with Brooke, and that Ridge was not happy about it and moved out. Nick said he didn't think he had ever seen Ridge happy. Katie said that Ridge and Rick didn't get along very well. Nick said Ridge didn't get along with anyone over the age of ten. Nick said maybe it was good that it happened. He said Brooke must have a guardian angel that saved her from Ridge. Katie asked what she was being saved for, and Nick said her kids, then suggested that they change the subject. He said their focus should be on Jack.
Katie said she could not help worrying about the future. Nick asked her to just be happy with each day and to let him love her in the moment. She agreed, but lamented she didn't want things to change. Nick told her it was guaranteed that things would change because things always did.
Rick's cell phone rang, and he pushed himself out of bed and scooted to the dresser to check his messages. Brooke caught him in the act and asked what he was doing. She scolded Rick and said he had to be patient. She said that one day he would be able to feel his legs again and would be able to get up and walk around, but until that time, he had to stay in bed or he would injure himself all over again. Rick said he wanted to take care of Brooke, and she said there was nothing wrong with her. Brooke said she had asked Rick's father to turn his phone off so it would not disturb him. Rick asked how he could download porn without it and Brooke looked disgusted and said she would pretend she didn't hear that comment.
Rick complimented Brooke on her amazing grilled ham and cheese sandwich, and Brooke said he should thank someone else, too-Ridge. Rick looked perplexed. Brooke reminded Rick that it was Ridge's house, too, and that Ridge could have demanded to stay, but instead stepped aside so Rick could stay there to recuperate. She explained that as soon as Rick was well, Ridge would move back in and Brooke and Ridge would become husband and wife.

At Taylor's home, she prepared a breakfast with Ridge's favorite foods. She bragged that she and Thomas had beaten him and Steffy at tennis. Ridge jokingly asked for a re-match. Taylor was willing and agreed to a rematch between the four of them. She asked Ridge if he enjoyed spending time with her and the children as a family. She emphasized that it felt to her as though nothing had changed. She asked if Ridge noticed that also.
Ridge commented that he did enjoy his overnight and time with the kids. Ridge told Taylor that he was not certain he would stay another night. He explained to Taylor that he did not want to send her mixed messages. His ex-wife responded that she was fully aware that he and Brooke had plans of a remarriage when Rick recuperated. She commented that she was able to handle Ridge's presence in her home. Taylor made dinner plans with Ridge then left the house.
Meanwhile, Eric visited his son, Rick. He tried to encourage Rick with all of the get well wishes that had been received from all over the world. Rick nixed Eric's efforts. Rick became very negative and notified Eric he would not return to Forrester Creations or Forrester International. Rick explained that he was tired of Ridge's arrogant behavior at the company. He told Eric that Ridge did not treat him as an equal. Rick tied a condition to his return to Forrester Creations: Eric would have to treat him as an equal.
Taylor went to Ridge's office at Forrester Creations to give him Steffy's iPod, which she had left at home. Instead of finding Ridge, she found Brooke behind the changing screen. She told Taylor, who she thought was Ridge, to come in and lock the door. Brooke told Ridge from behind the screen that she planned to make up for the previous night because she had missed him not being at home. Brooke played sexy music and did a provocative dance in her skimpy underwear. Brooke screamed when she came out from behind the screen and saw Taylor instead of Ridge. She complained that Taylor could have said she was there. Taylor taunted Brooke by telling her that she did not want to miss the show.
Brooke angrily told Taylor again how she was responsible for Rick's injury and broken heart and that she should take responsibility. Taylor acknowledged that she had broken Rick's heart. Taylor offered her help if Rick needed counseling with his injury recovery. Brooke told her that her services were not needed. The two of them had their usual arguments, which included who would win the battle for Ridge's affection. As the argument continued, Ridge entered his office and heard their discussion. Ridge thanked Taylor for breakfast. Brooke was appalled when she realized that Ridge had spent the night at Taylor's house. Brooke reamed Ridge for having spent the night at Taylors' after Taylor had made it clear she wanted Ridge back. Brooke demanded that Ridge stay anywhere but at Taylor's house.
Donna moved her belongings back into Eric's home. Stephanie's presence surprised Donna. She thanked Donna for not testifying against Pam. Donna wanted assurance that Pam was securely housed in a mental hospital in Chicago. Stephanie again confirmed that Pam was in Chicago and was no longer a threat to anyone. Donna reiterated that she believed Pam to be dangerous. Stephanie disagreed that Pam was still a threat. When Donna was assured that Pam was in Chicago, she realized she was absolutely free to reunite with Eric. As Donna moved her belongings in, Stephanie warned her that she was staying in the house because Eric had not asked her to leave. She informed Donna that she and Eric would reunite rather than Donna and Eric. As Donna and Stephanie continued their discussion, Eric arrived home. He acted amused over their discussion. Donna and Stephanie both asked Eric with whom he wanted to spend the rest of his life. As they waited for a reaction or an answer, he told them that he had a solution, but did not reveal what it was.

Wednesday, November 5th
Donna asked Eric to tell her and Stephanie which one of them he wanted to be with. Eric said he hadn't come to a conclusion because he was focused on Rick's paralysis and didn't have time to focus on his love life. Donna said she understood and was very concerned about her nephew, Rick. Stephanie said Donna was too late to play caring aunt because she had ignored Rick for most of his childhood. Stephanie added that she, on the other hand, had been Rick's stepmother and had had a lot more interaction with him on a day-to-day basis.
Eric stopped them from bickering and said they didn't need to prove which of them loved Rick more. He said he didn't need for the two of them to plead their case to him; he loved them both. Eric said they were both beautiful and wonderful women. Stephanie asked Eric if the problem was that he didn't want to decide between the two of them. He acknowledged that she was right; he did not want to choose. Donna asked where that left them and what they were supposed to do.
Eric said nothing should be done. He said he just needed the two of them to give him their love and support. Stephanie said he already had that. Stephanie and Donna battled over which one of them had to move out of Eric's house and which one should stay. Eric said he needed both of them by his side, and proposed that the three of them should all move into the house together.
Donna went into Eric's bedroom and undressed. She climbed into bed wearing some slinky lingerie as she spun an erotic tale for Eric. The rouble was, when she slid under the covers, she found out the lump in the bed was Stephanie rather than Eric. Stephanie said that her porridge was way too hot for Goldilocks to handle. Stephanie asked Donna if she always wore negligees under her clothes. Donna said she did. Stephanie said that must come in handy when Donna needed to seduce someone. Stephanie said she knew that Donna would try to pull something. Donna said she would never lose Eric to Stephanie and that it didn't matter if they had to share a house, a room, or a bed. Donna predicted she would win.
Eric dropped by the office to do some of Rick's work, because Rick was unable to work. Ridge said he and Brooke had it handled and said Eric should go back home. Ridge reminded Eric that he was still recovering from his own illness. Eric said it was actually more peaceful at work than at home.
Eric explained to Ridge that both Donna and Stephanie had moved in with him. Ridge was flabbergasted and said he thought the family was rid of Donna for good. Eric said he had too much to handle and he had two wonderful women who stood by his side and waited for him to make a choice. Eric reminded Ridge that if he chose to go back to Donna, that Ridge would have to find a way to accept his choice.
Ridge said it would be a mistake for Eric to reunite with Donna. Eric said the two ladies in his life cared enough about him to allow him time to decide, and he hoped Ridge would give him the same respect. Ridge said he worried that Eric couldn't handle the stress of his own recovery, Rick's paralysis, working, and two women. Eric said Ridge was wrong and that he was already doing it.
Ridge acted as though he hadn't heard Eric's response and made a pitch for Eric to turn over control of Forrester to him. Ridge suggested that Eric should step down to focus on his health and to spend time with whichever of the two women Eric decided he wanted to be with. Ridge got bossy and said he had earned the job, and insisted that Eric should appoint him as head of Forrester Creations.
Brooke insisted that Ridge should not stay at Taylor's house again. Ridge explained that Thomas was in town, so it made sense that he stayed at Taylor's, because he was able to spend time with his kids. Taylor chimed in and pointed out that at her house, Ridge was appreciated, unlike the treatment he had received from Brooke. Brooke was appalled. Taylor asked Brooke to clarify the details and asked if it was true that Brooke had asked Ridge to leave. Brooke said it was true, but only because of her son. Ridge wondered aloud if perhaps Rick had taken advantage of Brooke. Brooke said Rick was paralyzed and there was nothing for him to take advantage of.
Ridge said Brooke was a great mom who would do anything for her kids, and that Ridge expected Rick would take advantage of her good nature in order to keep Brooke and Ridge apart. Ridge said Rick would not stop meddling until he had ruined their relationship. Brooke said Rick's stay would only be temporary and seductively asked Ridge to sneak in the back way to visit her later in the day. Brooke stopped on her way out and taunted Taylor. Brooke said she hoped Taylor had enjoyed Ridge spending the night at her house, because it would never happen again.
Taylor asked Ridge how Brooke exhibited so much nerve - she said Brooke had kicked Ridge out of his own home and then tried to dictate where he was allowed to sleep after the fact. Ridge defended Brooke and said he saw Brooke's point. Taylor said she didn't. Taylor said it felt right and very natural for their entire family to spend time together. She added that she would be content to spend the rest of her life that way.
Brooke visited Rick and told him that Ridge spent the night at Taylor's house. Rick was shocked. Brooke explained it was an innocent visit, and that Ridge only wanted to spend time with his kids. Brooke lamented that she wished Ridge would have considered her feelings before he made that choice. Rick said she should not have expected that from Ridge, because he only thought of himself. Rick said Ridge had Brooke and Taylor right where he wanted them, on a string and fighting over him. Brooke said it was not intentional and Rick disagreed. He believed it was entirely intentional. He said Ridge got his power from pitting Brooke and Taylor against one another while they both pined away for his attention. Rick said Brooke should let Taylor win and let Ridge go. He said Brooke deserved a man who loved only her and didn't continue to look back at another woman.
Rick said that Taylor was the one who got Ridge's table scraps for the moment, but Brooke should know that in a few months the tables would be turned and she would be the one that got only scraps from Ridge. Rick said what Ridge and Brooke had was not love, but instead, it was a sick obsession. Brooke said she understood that Rick might have felt that way when he had grown up, but that wasn't how things had been. Rick reminded Brooke that Ridge swooped in and stole her from Eric and destroyed their family. Brooke said the marriage she had to Eric had not been a great romance; it was just two people who needed one another at one moment in time. Brooke said she distracted Eric from Stephanie, and that Eric had distracted her from Ridge.
Brooke said she loved Eric, but that she was destined to be with Ridge. Rick said he didn't have the strength to comfort Brooke when Ridge eventually dumped Brooke for Taylor for the millionth time. Rick said Ridge made a play to steal Taylor from him because Ridge could not bear the thought that Taylor could be happy with someone else. Rick said no one had ever stood up to Ridge, and everyone had allowed him to hurt and use people for years. Rick said Ridge would string Brooke and Taylor along for a few months, and then predicted he would then choose Taylor while Brooke waited her turn again for a few years. Rick vowed that he would be the one that finally stood up to Ridge Forrester and stopped him.
Brooke said that Rick was angry that Taylor dumped him in order to pursue Ridge. Brooke added that Ridge had not encouraged Taylor in any way. Rick rolled his eyes. Brooke said Rick should have a heart-to-heart talk with his father. Rick said it would not help because Eric favored Ridge over Rick. Brooke said that was not true. Rick said it was true and lamented that Eric would one day turn control of Forrester Creations over to Ridge, even though he had no idea how to run a company. He said Ridge's only talent was that he could draw pretty dresses on his sketchpad. Rick said Ridge did not respect Eric and that Ridge tried to break up Eric and Donna's marriage while Rick was the one who stood up for Eric and Donna at their wedding. He said it hadn't even mattered to Eric; Eric still favored Ridge. Rick said Eric would always choose Ridge over him, just like Brooke did.
Brooke said she felt responsible for how Rick felt. She wished that she had made him feel as if he was the most important person in her life while he was growing up. Rick said she had that choice again and could prove to him he mattered to her more than Ridge did by choosing him. He asked her to call off the wedding to Ridge. Rick said Brooke had a future and a destiny out there somewhere, but that it did not include Ridge.

Thursday, November 6th
At the office, Ridge argued with Eric about the company's future. Ridge wanted to know when Eric was going to turn the company over to him, but Eric said he was still thinking about it. Ridge conjectured that other people, like Rick, were bending his ear about not giving the company to Ridge.
Eric said that he had no intention of making an immediate decision. Ridge said he thought it was a done deal the night Eric had a heart attack. Eric brought up that Ridge had pressured Donna into turning over the company, and Ridge defended himself, saying that Donna had no business heading Forrester Creations. Ridge asked Eric how he could possibly give Donna power of attorney. Eric countered by saying that Ridge's actions were precisely why Eric had given the power of attorney to Donna. The night he had his heart attack, he had changed his mind about retiring.
Eric said he wasn't a puppet, and he told Ridge he wanted to make it clear that when he did retire, he would take care of all his children and portion the company as he saw fit. Ridge was resentful that they had laid ground rules earlier, and Eric had changed them. Ridge said he had expected to be running Forrester Creations, and he left.
At Stephanie's, Taylor met with Stephanie and said that Ridge and the kids played tennis and watched movies, and it was like old times. Everyone was comfortable. Stephanie said she was happy for Taylor. Taylor said she thought Ridge had a great time.
At Brooke's, Rick tried to convince Brooke that she would not be happy with Ridge. He begged her not to marry Ridge. Brooke looked troubled. Brooke admitted that they had endured some difficult times, but Rick was blaming Ridge, and he should have blamed Brooke, because she was also at fault. Rick didn't want to talk about Ridge anymore, but Brooke wanted to finish the conversation. Rick said everyone forgave Ridge for everything no matter what he did, but Rick refused to listen.
Brooke claimed she wasn't dismissing Rick, but she was at fault, too. Rick again said that Ridge had gotten away with too much, including pulling the plug on Eric. Brooke told Rick that Eric didn't know that had happened and that Donna ha never told Eric because she knew it would break his heart.
Rick said Brooke was hard on herself and he told her she had three young children to worry about. He begged her not to do to them what she had done to him. He asked her to make sure that she didn't make them feel second best. He told her that her three children were three very good reasons not to marry Ridge. Brooke left.
While in her room looking at pictures of Rick, Brooke was surprised that Ridge visited. She wanted reassurance that Rick hadn't seen him. Ridge said Rick never saw him. Ridge needed to see her. Brooke said Ridge couldn't spend the night at Taylor's house, especially since Taylor made it clear she would do anything to get him back.
Ridge said nothing happened with Taylor. He spent the night there because it gave him time with his kids. And, he knew that Taylor was trying to get him back because it was obvious from the minute he walked in the door. Ridge claimed he didn't want Taylor. He wanted Brooke.
Brooke said she didn't want to deny him time with his kids. She knew how much kids needed their parents, and she wasn't a very good mother to Rick while he was growing up.
Ridge said she didn't need to make excuses, and he told her she was twice the mother that most women would be. Brooke told him he was biased, and he playfully grabbed a rose and slid it along her face and body. He told her he missed her face, her eyes, and her phenomenal body. They kissed and made love.
In Rick's room, Rick gingerly got up out of bed, but someone knocked on the door, so he got back into the bed. Eric came in and brought Rick's laptop and files from the office. Rick told his father to take the files away because he had no intention of working at Forrester as long as Ridge was in charge.
Eric refused to accept that Rick would quit. Rick told Eric he had loved Forrester ever since he was a kid trying to get his father's attention. Rick said Eric had always been very focused.
Eric apologized and said he should have been more attentive, but Rick stopped him. He said he learned everything from Eric, and that was what made him so good at what he did. Rick realized he couldn't leave the company because it was in his blood.
He told his father he wanted to work more closely with Eric and learn from him. He begged his father not to retire. Rick told Eric he shouldn't let Ridge pressure him into leaving the company. Rick praised his father, saying that, since the heart attack, he was stronger than he'd ever been. Eric thanked him for the shot of confidence.
Rick laid into Ridge and told Eric that Ridge didn't respect Eric and his talent. Rick was convinced that if Eric retired, the company and Eric would wither away and die. Rick said Ridge was trying to shove Eric out of Forrester the same way he shoved Rick off the building. Rick said Ridge wasn't Eric's real son, and Rick was sick of Ridge getting away with everything.
Eric said Ridge had never done anything cruel or hurtful to Eric, but Rick said he had. Eric defended Ridge again, and Rick told him that Ridge shut off Eric's respirator when he was in a coma. Rick said Ridge made a conscious choice all by himself to end Eric's life. If all the alarms hadn't gone off, Eric would have been brain dead. Rick dared Eric to trust Ridge.
"Ridge tried to kill you," Rick said.

Friday, November 7th
Ridge noted that Brooke seemed preoccupied. Brooke said she was worried about Rick. Ridge said Rick had already begun to heal and had gotten some feeling back in his legs. Brooke said Rick had not made any progress since he moved back home. Ridge said it was because Rick was not trying to get better. Ridge said Rick's main goal seemed to be bad-mouthing Ridge. Brooke said she had worked on that and thought Rick would come around some day. Ridge did not seem convinced.
Ridge said that Rick had issues and ought to be in therapy. He pointed out that Rick seemed drawn to older women such as Ashley and Taylor. Brooke said that was her fault, because he must have needed something that she had not provided as his mother. Ridge said that was a crock and begged Brooke not to buy into Rick's guilt trips. Ridge said Rick had always known that Brooke loved him. Brooke said he might have known it in his head, but apparently he hadn't felt it in his heart. Ridge said Rick was an adult and that Brooke needed to treat him like a man instead of a child.
Brooke said she only wanted peace. Brooke said that after she and Ridge married, she wanted Rick to be part of their family. Ridge assured her that would happen. Ridge said that once Eric turned over the company to Ridge, he would become Rick's boss and Rick would have to listen to him. Brooke asked if Ridge would fire Rick if Rick did not listen to Ridge. Ridge said not if Brooke didn't want him to, but added he could not take much more of Rick's attitude.
Ridge said they were on the verge of getting everything they wanted-a marriage, their kids, and control of the company-and that no one could stop them. Ridge said the Brooke should not worry. He said that he would go and have a peace talk with Rick. Brooke thanked him and said Ridge would do anything to make her happy. Ridge said he lived to make Brooke's dreams come true.
Rick informed Eric that Ridge had tried to end Eric's life by pulling the plug on his life support. Rick said Ridge claimed he heard Eric's voice and that it told him to pull the plug. Eric asked if he had been in pain or if he had cried out while he was in his coma. Rick said he had not; Eric had been peaceful. Rick said that Ridge pulled Eric's plug out of greed. Eric said he could not believe that and supposed that Ridge might not have been in his right mind. Rick said that was not true because Ridge had explained the whole thing to his family and attempted to get them on board with the idea.
Eric said he didn't want to think about that anymore. Rick suggested that Eric think instead about the happy times he spent with Brooke. Rick said he had looked at old family photos and saw that Eric was happy while he was married to Brooke. Rick asked if Eric ever thought about those days. Eric said of course he did, but it was all in the past. Eric said he and Brooke had taken different paths. Rick argued with Eric and said Ridge was the one who intervened in their marriage and broke them apart. Rick said Ridge always had put himself first and that Ridge had put himself first again when he pressured Eric into turning the company over to him. Rick implored Eric not to cave in to Ridge's demands.
Eric said Ridge expected to be able to take over the company.
Rick asked Eric what Ridge had done for him lately. Eric was silent. Rick repeated his question and asked what Ridge had ever done for Eric as a son. Rick said Ridge didn't approve of Eric's marriage to Donna, didn't approve of how Eric ran the company, and wanted Eric put out to pasture. Rick asked Eric if that was any way for a son to support his father. Rick suggested that Ridge was envious of Eric. He reminded Eric that Ridge was actually Massimo's son and perhaps Ridge was trying to show Eric up. Rick reminded Eric that he had been the son who had been a loving, loyal, and faithful son to Eric. Rick said it hadn't gotten him anywhere, because Ridge was Eric's favorite.
Eric told Rick he was wrong; he said there was not a competition between his kids for his love and attention. Rick said there was a competition and insisted it was true. Rick said he went to Paris and ran Forrester International very well and was just as, if not more, qualified than Ridge to run the company. Rick said he was treated like a bastard child just because Stephanie was not his mom. Rick reminded Eric that he was Eric's number one son with Brooke. Rick said Ridge would marry Brooke and then break her heart again because that was how Ridge always treated the people in his life.
Eric said that he did not have a "number one" son, and insisted that he loved his children equally. Rick burst out laughing and said that everyone knew Ridge was Eric's favorite. Rick said he could see in Eric's eyes that it was true. Eric took Rick's face in his hands and looked him in the eye. Eric promised that Rick would never again feel as though he was second to Ridge. Ridge lurked in the hallway and overheard their conversation. Ridge entered the room and said he had initially come to make peace, but he realized Rick was playing Eric the same way he had played Brooke. Ridge said that it had to stop.
Ridge said it was Rick's fault that he was paralyzed. Rick laughed in disbelief. Rick said that Ridge had kissed his fiancée, ruined his wedding, pushed him off a rooftop, and still refused to accept any responsibility. Ridge asked Eric to come with him so the two of them could discuss the future of the company. Eric said that Rick was a part of the future of Forrester, too. Ridge and Eric began to bicker as Brooke arrived. Brooke asked what was going on. Eric asked Brooke to take a good look at their son Rick, and then announced that Rick was President of Forrester Creations. Ridge protested and said that Eric was CEO and that Ridge was President. Eric said effective immediately, Rick and Ridge would be co-presidents. Ridge said he would resign before he agreed to work with Rick. Eric said Ridge could suit himself. They all left the room and, when Rick thought he was alone, her stood up. Brooke came back into the room and saw Rick standing and was shocked that he could use his legs. Rick said he could explain.
Taylor said that if she had fought for Ridge in the first place, she could have avoided all the awful things that happened, like her failed relationships with Nick and Rick. She said she had never learned to be true to herself and her own heart. Stephanie said Taylor should not focus on "Shoulda, woulda, coulda," but instead she should take charge of her life and begin to fight for Ridge in earnest. Taylor said she was afraid to get let down again.
Stephanie pointed out that Taylor had already made progress, and that Ridge had spent the night in their old home. Taylor said that it had just been one night, and Stephanie said one night was a start. Taylor hugged Stephanie and said she was thankful that she had Stephanie back in her life. Taylor said she had not realized how much she missed Stephanie's friendship. Stephanie said she missed Taylor, too, and noted they needed each other. Taylor agreed and said they had to band together to fight the Logan "slut sisters," and they both chuckled.
Stephanie pronounced that Taylor would win Ridge back. Stephanie said Taylor had to use the situation with Rick to her advantage. Taylor said what Stephanie had proposed sounded like manipulation. Stephanie said it was what it was; Taylor had to fight for Ridge.

Monday, November 10th
Brooke was stunned when she saw Rick standing. Rick said it was a miracle. Rick explained that after Eric appointed him president of Forrester, he was so excited he swung his legs over the bed and was suddenly able to stand. Brooke rejoiced at her son's recovery.
Rick explained that after Eric said all those supportive things to him, he got a surge of energy and was finally able to stand. He took a few steps and then winced out in pain.
Taylor cautioned Steffy about getting her hopes up. Taylor said that it was sometimes a mistake for a person to hope too much, because it would only set them up for disappointment. Taylor said that, although they'd had one good night with Ridge, she did not know where it would lead.
Taylor said that Stephanie thought they had made some inroads with Ridge. Steffy was pleased that Stephanie was pulling for their family. Taylor admitted she had missed Stephanie's friendship. She said that although Stephanie was bossy and pushy, she was truly a good friend to have in your corner. Taylor said she would do everything she could to remind Ridge he belonged with their family.
Steffy said when Taylor had come home after she had been presumed dead, Steffy thought their family would just automatically revert back to the way it was before Taylor left. Steffy said her memories were like fairy tales and she remembered that everyone was happy all the time. Steffy explained that was why she had stayed away at school so long; when Ridge left, the pain was too much to bear and she had to get away. Steffy said she had never stopped hoping her parents would reconcile. Taylor said she was trying to make that happen.
Ridge told Eric that it would not work for Forrester to have two presidents. Ridge said that decision was a certain formula for failure. Eric said Ridge should have faith, and Eric hoped Ridge would try to work with his brother. Ridge said if the co-presidency was a test, Ridge wanted to assure Eric that he had Ridge's loyalty. Eric asked if he really had Ridge's loyalty. Eric mentioned that he discovered that Ridge had pulled the plug on Eric's life support while he was in a coma. Ridge asked if he had heard that news from Rick. Eric asked if it was true.
Ridge explained that Eric was lying there helpless and unable to breathe on his own. Ridge said he could not leave Eric lying there helpless. Ridge said he knew it would sound crazy, but he heard Eric's voice in his head telling Ridge to let him go. Eric said he did not say that. Ridge said he heard Eric's voice as clearly as if he had been standing right next to him. Eric repeated that he had not asked Ridge to end his life. Eric said Ridge had simply given up on him. Eric said he would never have given up on Ridge. Ridge said it felt like Eric had already given up on him by choosing Rick over him. Eric said he had been helpless in his hospital bed unable to move, just as Rick was helpless and unable to move.
Ridge said Rick was playing the sympathy card. Ridge said he understood that Eric was only trying to make Rick feel better. Eric said no, that was not the case. He said he wanted all of his kids to know that he loved them equally and that they all had an equal say in the family business; he realized that was not the message they had received. Ridge said that Rick had played Eric just as he had played Brooke. Ridge asked Eric to reexamine the situation and not allow Rick to make a fool of him.
Eric and Ridge went to see Rick and arrived in time to see the "miracle." Rick gave a touching speech about how Eric's faith in him made him believe he could do anything and had given him the courage to walk. Ridge rolled his eyes disgustedly in the background.
Ridge mentioned how convenient it was that Rick was suddenly healed right after he convinced their father to give him the co-presidency of Forrester. Rick said he had daydreamed about his first day at work, and walking to his new desk. Rick said he had wondered how hard it would be to walk, so he tried. And voila! He succeeded. Ridge had a disbelieving smirk on his face through Rick's entire story.
Ridge accused Rick, point-blank, of faking. He told Rick to get up on his feet, but to spare everyone the wobbling and wincing this time around. Ridge said he was certain that was not the first time Rick had walked since the accident. Brooke defended Rick and said he was not faking. She said a doctor had examined Rick. Ridge asked Rick to admit exactly how long he had been able to feel his legs. Rick just glared at him. Ridge said Rick had gotten exactly what he wanted and all he had to do to get it was play possum on his back for a few days. Ridge reminded everyone that Brooke had kicked Ridge out of the house to facilitate Rick's recovery, but Rick had probably faked it all along. Eric said that Ridge should stop being abusive to his brother. Ridge said since Rick had recovered, Ridge would move back into the house. Ridge asked Rick if he was prepared to deal with Ridge at work and at home all day, every day.
Ridge said Rick's charade was over and he was out of time. Rick said his time had just begun. He reminded Ridge that Ridge was not really a Forrester, anyway, and suggested he look into the tanker business like the other Marones. Rick said Forrester men were gentlemen and that Ridge was an insufferable bore. Rick said he admitted Ridge had talent at drawing pretty dresses, but said Ridge did not know how to run a company the way Rick did. Rick said that Ridge had hogged their father's time all these years, but it was Rick's turn. Rick said he was president of Forrester, and if Ridge got in his way, he would destroy him.

At the Forrester Creations headquarters, Jake McClain consulted with Eric about the media and Internet coverage for the company's announcement. Jake set up the cameras and explained that there would also be a podcast for the event. Jake commented that he was happy about Rick's promotion. Thorne, who had entered the office, sarcastically told Eric to buy Rick a teddy bear instead of making him president if he felt guilty for ignoring him when he was younger. Eric was adamant that he would not change his mind.
Outside of Eric's office, Steffy, Marcus, and some workers gathered to find out what Eric's big announcement was. Rick walked with crutches when he arrived. Thorne immediately told Rick that his promotion was a pity promotion. Rick insisted that he earned the promotion. Thorne blatantly told Rick that he didn't buy that Rick earned the promotion. Steffy acted very upset when she learned of Rick's appointment to the Forrester Creations presidency. Marcus commented that he was happy for Rick. Steffy then mentioned that she was not happy that Marcus was in support of Rick.
At home, Ridge informed Stephanie that Eric had appointed Rick as the president of Forrester Creations. Ridge mentioned that Rick had informed his father that Ridge had turned off his life-support equipment while he lay there in a coma. He explained that Rick made it sound to Eric as though Ridge had wanted Eric dead. Stephanie supported Ridge's feeling that it was Rick who had informed Eric about the shutdown of the ventilator. Stephanie had known about the incident and never mentioned it because she knew Ridge had not meant to kill Eric. She also reminded everyone that Eric had not experienced any negative health consequences from the incident. Ridge then commented that he believed that Rick faked his injury.
Brooke defended her son's behavior. She commented that she believed that Ridge should have accepted the job as co-president of the company. Brooke then explained that because Ridge would not agree to work with Rick, Eric had to make a decision about who would be the company president.
Brooke was upset that she was in the middle of Rick and Ridge's feud. Brooke unmista.k.ably told Ridge that he should not have asked her to go against her son in his feud. She begged Ridge to work side-by-side with Rick as the Forrester Creation's co-president. She made a vague statement to Ridge that he would better understand her feelings when she made her statement to the media. Brooke stated that she would make things clear in her speech, but did not specify what would be clear.
Taylor went to Ridge's side when she learned from Steffy that Rick was about to be appointed president of Forrester Creations. She did not believe that it was true. Ridge confirmed it. Ridge explained he was never in the position of president for glory; it was always about keeping the company alive for future generations. Taylor acknowledged that Brooke was in the middle because Rick was her son. Ridge told Taylor he didn't blame Brooke. Ridge explained that Brooke had planned a speech saying that Ridge was the heir apparent of Forrester Creations, not Rick.
When Rick arrived in Eric's office, he lied to him and told him that it was because of the promotion to president of Forrester Creations that he was able to get out of bed and walk.
Later Brooke spoke with Rick in Ridge's office. She encouraged Rick to go to the orthopedic specialist. Rick flatly refused to go to a doctor. He lied and explained to his mother that he was focused on the big day. She made it clear to her son that she didn't want to be placed in the middle of the situation with her son and the man that she loved. Rick commented to his mother that Ridge was too arrogant to have been a co-president with him. Rick further manipulated his mother when he thanked her for her help since his injury. Brooke explained that she hoped her statement to the media would clarify things.
Stephanie marched angrily into Eric's office. She told him that Ridge was the president of the company and that Eric was foolish to hire Rick as the president. Stephanie pointed out that Rick was not experienced enough for the position of president of the company. Stephanie called Eric hostile because Ridge had pulled his ventilator out. Stephanie clarified that Ridge tried to alleviate Eric's suffering, not kill him. She also asked questions about Rick's condition and his miraculous recovery from paralysis. She then questioned Rick's integrity. She asked if Rick was playing a con game about his injuries. Eric was enraged when Stephanie accused Rick of faking his injuries. Stephanie again begged Eric not to make Rick president of Forrester Creations.

Stephanie said Eric made a mistake when he shut Ridge out of the company. Rick said Eric did not shut Ridge out. Rick explained that Eric had invited Ridge to be a co-president with Rick, but Ridge refused to cooperate. Rick said Ridge needed to put the company first and work together as their father had decided. Eric said Rick was right; Ridge should have come to work and tried to cooperate.
Ridge told Taylor that he disagreed with Eric's decision to make Rick co-president. Ridge said he had slaved away at Forrester for years while Rick's only experience was two years of partying in Paris. Ridge said he suspected that Eric had made that decision to compensate for years of perceived favoritism. Ridge said Rick used the same speech Thorne used to use about how hard it was to live in Ridge's shadow.
Taylor comforted Ridge and said he had never asked to be the favorite son. Taylor said that although Eric and Stephanie would never admit it out loud, Ridge was their favorite.
Taylor asked if Ridge would move back in with Brooke. Ridge said it would be a while because Rick had a long road of fake recovery ahead of him. Taylor asked what Ridge meant. Ridge explained that Rick had been faking his paralysis. Ridge said Rick might not have been able to feel his toes for a few days, but Ridge was convinced Rick was able to walk all long. Ridge said Rick had a plan for revenge against Ridge, and it had worked.
Eric, Brooke, and Rick did a podcast video press release where Eric announced that Rick was the new president of Forrester Creations. Rick said that he planned to exceed everyone's expectations. Stephanie and Thorne watched from the back of the room and appeared to be disgusted by the announcement.
Brooke took her turn at the microphone and praised Rick's leadership skills. Brooke also made a point of mentioning Ridge's fabulous designs and added that his creativity and passion were the backbone of Forrester Creations. Brooke said that Ridge would stay on with the company in a design capacity and that Forrester was successful in large part because of Ridge.
Rick expressed his displeasure with Brooke's remarks. Rick said the podcast was supposed to be an announcement about him becoming president, not so Brooke could boost Ridge's ego. Brooke explained that as the new president of Forrester, Rick should understand that it was good for the public to know Ridge would still be part of the company. Rick said of course he understood that. Brooke said that although Ridge and Rick were at odds with one another, she hoped one day her son and the man she loved would work side by side. After Brooke left the room, Rick said that would never happen.
Eric and Stephanie both thanked Brooke for the glowing words she said about Ridge. Stephanie said she was certain Ridge would appreciate what she'd said. Eric said he wished Ridge would have agreed to be co-president with Rick, but hoped he would eventually come around. Eric said it would be easier for Ridge after he heard Brooke's gracious speech about his talent.
Stephanie apologized to Eric for questioning his decisions after she promised not to. Stephanie said she would support his decision to name Rick president. Eric asked if Stephanie still thought it was the wrong decision, and she said yes, she still thought it was wrong. Eric said Stephanie would see; their son Ridge would come around. Stephanie disagreed and said she did not think Ridge would forgive Eric for making Rick president of Forrester.
When the computer tech got paged, Rick hacked into the podcast video and removed the kind words Brooke had spoken about Ridge and made it appear that Brooke said all those kind words about Rick without a mention of Ridge's name.
Ridge watched the doctored video with Taylor. Ridge was infuriated that neither his father nor Brooke mentioned him. He was equally enraged to think Brooke called Rick "the cornerstone of Forrester Creations," because he didn't know those were the words she actually used to describe Ridge.
Rick deleted Brooke's original speech from the computer so there would be no record of her original text filled with praise for Ridge.
Brooke arrived home and asked Ridge if he had seen the speech, and he asked her how she could betray him that way. Brooke looked completely puzzled.

Thursday, November 13th
Rick rejoiced in his success at editing the podcast that went live-- deleting Brooke's praise of Ridge. Rick remembered what Eric said to him when he made him president of Forrester Creations. Rick recalled his father told him that he loved him, and that Rick would never again be second to Ridge. He remembered that Eric was excited when he announced to Ridge and Brooke that Rick was the new president of Forrester Creations.
Taylor walked in on Rick and said that she was looking for Steffy. Rick told her that neither Steffy nor Ridge was available. Taylor said she was very happy for Rick when she saw him walking again. Rick said he was floating on air since he was the president of Forrester Creations. Taylor said she couldn't understand why neither Eric nor Brooke mentioned Ridge in the podcast. Rick was adamant to Taylor that the announcement was about his presidency. It was not about Ridge. Taylor said she watched the podcast with Ridge and that he was upset. She couldn't believe that the podcast was the message that Brooke wanted to send. Rick disagreed and said there was nothing wrong with it because Brooke was proud of her son.
Rick said Ridge was throwing a temper tantrum because he wasn't mentioned. Taylor said that if Brooke didn't find a way to set things right, there would be consequences. Taylor wondered if the entire presidency wasn't Rick's way of evening the score with Ridge, but Rick scoffed at her.
At Brooke's, Ridge was livid with Brooke over the podcast, but she didn't realize that Rick edited her speech, so she was confused about what he saw. Brooke was baffled by his anger, because she remembered her glowing words about Ridge.
Ridge said the podcast was quite a show. Brooke reminded him that she said warm wonderful things and that she meant every word. Ridge said that he had asked for her support and tuned in to find that Brooke and Eric didn't address that. Instead, he said that Eric and Brooke had allowed Rick to manipulate them. Brooke was upset and said she spoke from the heart. She didn't know what he was upset about. Ridge said he expected better from her.
Ridge wondered aloud to Brooke why they weren't married. He said he walked out on his family years ago, but still they weren't married because of Nick and then Jack. Brooke told him they had dealt with a lot, but he disagreed and told Brooke that he had dealt with a lot from her.
Brooke accused Ridge of resenting his father's decision to make Rick president, but she said that wasn't her fault. Ridge accused Rick of conning both Eric and Brooke. She begged him not to make the argument about her son. Ridge agreed. He said the argument was about the two of them. He noted that they were cursed because they still weren't together after all the years they had "done the dance."
Brooke begged Ridge not to give up. Ridge continued that the only two things he ever wanted - being president of Forrester and having Brooke at his side -- seemed to be gone. He shouted that he no longer wanted to talk about it.
Maybe, he said, he wasn't meant to be with Brooke, and she shook her head. She refused to give up on them. She told him his anger and resentment would pass. He disagreed and said that something or somebody always came between them, and he angrily wondered when or if it would ever stop. He ran out the door and started his motorcycle as Brooke raced after him screaming his name.
Brooke walked back into the house and sat down crying. She remembered all the weddings and engagements she and Ridge shared together and the birth of RJ. She cried that she had no idea why they were even fighting, and she refused to give up.
Rick walked in and wondered why she was crying. She told him she didn't want to talk about it. She told Rick that Ridge was angry, sad, and disappointed in her. She said Ridge told her that she betrayed him. Rick said it would all blow over, but Brooke disagreed. She said Ridge stormed out and she felt that their destiny was to be apart, just as Ridge had said it was.
Rick wondered how many times his mother would allow Ridge to hurt her. He begged her to say that she would let Ridge go and that it was finally over. She cried and hugged Rick as he tried to convince Brooke that she would not be happy with Ridge.
Stephanie visited Eric and she apologized for arguing with him earlier. She wondered why Eric didn't give more credit to Ridge during the podcast. He said that he let Brooke do that. He felt that Brooke was stuck between her son and fiancé. Stephanie agreed and said compliments and credit should have come from Eric, not Brooke. Eric reminded Stephanie that Ridge and Brooke were the future of Forrester Creations and that nothing would ever come between them.
Stephanie disagreed. She asked Eric why he didn't make Ridge CEO. She told him that he needed to do that. Eric disagreed. He said that in Brooke and Ridge's time together at Forrester, they shared the greatest triumphs.
After Eric left, Stephanie was on the phone and told a reporter that she had nothing to add beyond what had already been said in the podcast. Ridge walked in and said that he was disappointed in Brooke. He was furious, and walked out wondering why he had ever come to Forrester.

Friday, November 14th
Brooke explained to Rick how puzzled she was by Ridge's reaction. She said all the right things, but Ridge was still upset. Rick said that was because Ridge was a selfish and childish person who only thought about himself.
Katie called and asked what time they should drop off Jack at Brooke's house. Brooke said it wasn't a good time and asked if Nick and Katie would be able to keep Jack for a bit longer. Katie agreed. Katie asked Brooke what was wrong, and Brooke explained that Ridge walked out on her. Katie explained to Nick what was going between Ridge and Brooke and that it was a bad situation.
Nick said he wouldn't worry about it, and believed Ridge and Brooke would patch things up. Katie was very worried and said Ridge and Brooke had to stay together. Her worried look alluded to Katie having a vested interest in Ridge and Brooke becoming husband and wife. Nick said the Brooke was a mother first, and if Ridge forced Brooke to choose between him and her kids, Ridge would lose. Katie said Ridge and Brooke were in love, just as Nick and Katie were in love, so she had to believe they would patch things up.
Rick said that Brooke needed to get out of the house. Brooke agreed and called Gretchen and told her to bring a horse down to the beach for Brooke to ride. Rick asked if she wanted company and Brooke said no, she needed to be alone. Brooke thanked him for his support, not knowing it was Rick's fault that she and Ridge had argued in the first place.
Stephanie stopped by Brooke's house, but only found Rick at home. Stephanie asked Rick what had happened, and Rick said Stephanie should just let it go. Stephanie persisted with her questions. Rick said he had done what Stephanie wanted to do for years; he put a wedge between Ridge and Brooke. He threw his crutches across the room, and Stephanie realized he had been conning everyone about his paralysis and called him on it.
Rick explained that he had actually been paralyzed, but recovered when he left the hospital. He said he continued to fake paralysis to buy more time to try to break up Brooke and Ridge. Stephanie gave him a disapproving gaze, but Rick said she should save it. Rick reminded Stephanie that she had pulled a few fast ones of her own in the past. Rick admitted that he edited the podcast and cut out the nice words Brooke said about Ridge.
Rick said that if his plan worked, Ridge would be free of Brooke and Brooke would be free of Ridge for good. He said Stephanie had to agree with him. Rick said that individually, Ridge and Brooke were great people, but that Ridge and Brooke together were a train wreck.
Stephanie said she would not help Rick keep his dirty little secret. She said it was a matter of right and wrong and she would not be part of it. Rick said if Stephanie told Ridge and Brooke what he had done, it would only serve to reunite Brooke and Ridge. Rick said that would kill Stephanie's fantasy about Taylor and Ridge getting back together. Stephanie said nothing, as if she were actually considering Rick's absurd logic.
Ridge took a motorcycle ride along the Pacific Coast Highway and ended up at the spot of his first wedding to Brooke. Ridge had a series of flashbacks about their fairytale wedding. Ridge climbed to the top of the cliff and enjoyed the majestic view of the ocean. Brooke, on horseback, passed by below him on the sand. Ridge continued reminiscing about scenes from their first marriage as he looked out over the ocean.
Brooke rode along on her horse looking sad and empty. She got off the horse, sat down on the beach and picked up handfuls of sand and watched as the grains filtered through her fingers. Brooke also reminisced about her beach wedding to Ridge and remembered the vows he once made to her. Ridge remained at the top of the cliff; they did not see one another. A teary-eyed Brooke got up and climbed up on her horse and rode down the beach. Ridge looked down and saw her and cried "Logan!" at the top of his lungs. She heard him and turned around.

Monday, November 17th
Nick said he was not going to worry about Ridge and Brooke anymore, because they would do what they would do, and he could not control the situation. Katie pointed out that Nick had seemed quite concerned about Brooke. Nick said he had been, but only because Katie mentioned that Brooke seemed out of whack. Nick said maybe Ridge and Brooke would patch things up and maybe they wouldn't, but Nick refused to get caught up in their drama.
Nick asked Katie why she was so invested in Ridge and Brooke's relationship. Katie said because she had always believed Ridge and Brooke's love was so strong it would withstand any trial. Nick repeated what he said earlier, and noted if Ridge forced Brooke to choose between her children and Ridge, Ridge would lose.
Katie and Nick played Nerf Basketball and she distracted him with a kiss. Katie said she loved Nick and asked for a promise that nothing ever had to change. Nick assured her nothing ever had to change.
Thorne informed Eric that Ridge and Brooke were fighting. Eric was puzzled and wondered what they could have fought about. Thorne said he didn't know, and that he had asked Stephanie and she didn't know the cause, either. Eric said after Brooke had given such a glowing speech about Ridge, Eric could not imagine what Ridge could be angry about. Eric said Ridge must have been pleased with Brooke's speech. Thorne supposed they might have argued about Rick again.
Thorne spoke to a group of models, who planned to try out for their spring line. He thought he saw Owen in the crowd, but it was a case of mistaken identity. Eric arrived and picked up an old photo of Ridge and Eric in a victory pose. Eric admitted to Thorne that he might have caused Brooke and Ridge's fight by deciding to promote Rick over Ridge. Thorne didn't disagree with him. Thorne said Rick did a good job at Forrester International, but that experience had not prepared him to run Forrester Creations. Eric said he wished Ridge had agreed to a co-presidency. Thorne rolled his eyes and said Eric knew that would never happen. Eric said he wished his kids would cut one another some slack and stop being so competitive with each other. Eric said Rick had gotten the short end of the stick for too long and he felt he had to give Rick the job.
Thorne mentioned that Rick had been a very divisive person in their family, and he suspected Rick could cause a tremendous amount of trouble. Thorne cautioned Eric that Rick had an agenda and suggested that Eric should keep a close eye on him.
Rick told Stephanie that it was her chance to get on board with his plan. Rick took credit for Brooke and Ridge being at odds. Stephanie said she thought she knew Rick, but it was clear that she didn't. Rick said it didn't suit Stephanie to claim the moral high ground. Stephanie said Rick didn't know her as well as he thought he did. Rick said Stephanie didn't know him, either. Rick said Stephanie assumed he had spent all his time at Forrester International partying in Paris, but instead he had worked hard to get where he was. Stephanie countered by saying Rick got where he was, the new president of Forrester Creations, by lying and manipulating his father into believing he was paralyzed.
Stephanie added that the worst part was that Rick was a Forrester and he had done these awful things to his own family. Stephanie said people should not treat their brothers and sisters the way Rick had treated Ridge. Rick said she should stop right there. He reminded her that Ridge was the bastard son of Stephanie and Massimo Marone, and was not his brother.
Stephanie said that was a really stupid thing for Rick to have said if he wanted her partnership. Rick said he learned that if enemies had a common goal, they could work together in spite of their differences. Stephanie told Rick he was off-base, the two of them did not have a common goal. Stephanie said her main concern was Ridge's happiness. Stephanie said she did not want Brooke and Ridge apart so badly that she would participate in Rick's revenge plot. Stephanie reminded Rick that he might not get the outcome he hoped for, and things could turn out differently than he imagined.
Rick said if Brooke ever discovered that he doctored the podcast, she would never forgive Rick. He said it would drive her closer to Ridge and surely Stephanie didn't want that. Stephanie said she thought Ridge and Brooke would have broken up on their own without any interference from anyone. Stephanie said Rick was a smart and accomplished guy, and he should stop wasting his energy trying to ruin Ridge and Brooke's relationship.
Stephanie pointed out that Rick was very needy when it came to his parents. Rick said he had not gotten the attention he needed as a child, and it had all been Ridge's fault. Rick said Ridge was Eric's golden boy. He added the Ridge also got all of his mother's attention. Rick said he would finally get the attention and respect he richly deserved. Stephanie told him it was time for him to grow up and act like an adult.
Rick said Stephanie could not tell anyone what he had done. Rick reminded Stephanie that Eric's heart was weak and if he discovered that Rick played him, it could cause him to have another heart attack. Stephanie said Rick was a con artist and if she could strangle him and get away with it, she would. Stephanie reluctantly agreed that Eric should not find out about Rick's evils deeds. Rick said he knew it made Stephanie's skin crawl, but she had to agree to a partnership with him. Rick said they were the only two people who could break up Brooke and Ridge for good. Rick said his plan had succeeded where Stephanie had failed. He had single-handedly broken up Ridge and Brooke. Rick said Ridge would wallow in self-pity and never forgive Brooke. Rick also predicted that Brooke would finally stop talking about Ridge being her destiny.
Ridge saw Brooke riding her horse and called out her name. Brooke turned around and rode back in Ridge's direction. Ridge hiked down the canyon onto the beach until they were eye to eye. Ridge helped Brooke down from her horse and they shared a warm embrace. Brooke pointed out that they both went to the same spot and proved they were right together. Brooke said they stood on sacred ground, in the place where their love was born and had never been stronger. Brooke said sure, they had a fight, but the fact that they found one another there meant something.
Ridge said it meant they were destined to be together and he could not imagine a time when he would not love Brooke. He picked her up and whirled her around in the sand as they shared a passionate kiss. The reunited couple walked along the beach hand in hand. Ridge sat down in the sand and Brooke joined him. Ridge said Brooke was a vision and she was everything beautiful in the world to him. Brooke said she could not even think about her world without Ridge in it. They agreed they would never part and lay down in the sand in an all-consuming embrace.

Tuesday, November 18th
While Stephanie was at home, Brooke paid her an unexpected visit. Stephanie bluntly commented to Brooke that she knew of her breakup with Ridge. Brooke ignored Stephanie's remarks and asked to speak with Donna or Eric. When Brooke realized that Donna and Eric were at Forrester Creations together and Stephanie was alone, she sarcastically called her the "stay-at-home wife".
Brooke and Stephanie's conversation shifted back to Ridge. Brooke taunted Stephanie that she knew that Stephanie wanted Ridge to be with Taylor, not Brooke. Brooke boldly announced that she, not Taylor, would be with Ridge. Brooke continued to treat Stephanie cruelly and taunted her that she should have moved out of the house and allowed Eric and Donna to live in peace.
At Eric's office, Donna showed him faxes from all over the world that the company had received. They discussed their relationship. Eric commented that he had concluded that the most important thing in a relationship was trust. The conversation stopped when someone knocked at the door. Donna went to the door and found Owen there. Eric invited Owen into the office. He admitted to Donna that he had invited Owen to the office so the three of them could talk. Owen adamantly told Eric that Donna did not betray him. Eric acknowledged what Owen said and tried to place him at ease. He acknowledged how Owen had saved Donna at Big Bear and how he saved Eric's life when he was on the ventilator. In a move that was unexpected to Donna, Eric offered Owen a position at Forrester Creations. Owen commented to Eric that he felt honored. He cordially accepted the unexpected job offer. Eric arranged for Owen to view his new office. When Owen left the office, Donna thanked Eric for believing in her and in their relationship.
Meanwhile back at the Forrester home, Stephanie rattled on to Brooke that Eric was connected to her and their children. She bragged that their connection was real and existed. She boasted that it was something that Donna did not have and didn't understand.
Stephanie finished her insults of Donna and added that Donna had slept with Owen. Brooke defended Donna and responded to the insults by informing her that what little happened between Owen and Donna would never occur again, because Donna was devoted to Eric.
Later, in his new office, Owen told Donna that he had never left L.A. because of his love for her. He became adamant that he wanted to be part of Donna's life. Donna responded to Owens's plea by telling him that she wanted him in her life, but only as a friend. Donna reminded him that Eric was the love of her life. She explained that she could sense that Eric was close to making a decision between her and Stephanie. Donna predicted that Eric would choose her and make her dreams come true.
Back in Eric's office, Thorne arrived there to talk to him about Donna. He had advice for his father: if Eric was so uncertain about Donna, then his uncertainty should have told him something was wrong. Eric disagreed with Thorne's advice. He responded that he was going to prove that any romance between Donna and Owen was over. Meanwhile, Eric sat at his desk and watched his computer screen. Eric had secretly placed a camera in Owens's office so he could see for himself if there was anything going on between Owen and Donna.

Wednesday, November 19th
Thorne, Felicia and Stephanie lamented how Rick had played Eric for a fool. They were stunned when Owen waltzed into the office. They asked what he was doing there, and Owen said he worked there. Felicia said she could not believe Donna hired him back and said that Donna had no shame. Thorne corrected her and said Eric was the one who had hired Owen. Stephanie asked why on earth Eric would do that. Owen said because he helped save Eric's life, and Eric was grateful. Stephanie supposed that meant that Eric had forgiven Donna.
Rick said Forrester needed to change. He stood up and Brooke, Marcus, and Katie noticed he was walking without his crutches. Rick said he couldn't have gotten better on his own, and that he couldn't run Forrester alone, either; he needed all of their help. Rick said he needed people on his side because a battle was at hand. Brooke asked Rick why he had to promote an "us vs. them" mentality. Katie reminded Rick they were all part of the same family and their clients wanted a united front.
Rick said they had always been part of the family, but the Logan half of the family had been hidden in shadows. Rick said it was the Logans' turn to shine, and they could not let anything divide them.
When Donna arrived, Rick sarcastically said it was nice of her to show up. Donna explained she had been working on a proposal with Owen. Rick said Donna should be careful not to mess up the situation with Owen and make Eric mad at her again. Rick said they needed to keep their advantage and stay in Eric's good graces.
Brooke said she was uncomfortable with Rick's point of view and left the room. Steffy arrived to deliver the mail and made it clear she was not happy Rick was in that office. Rick said he once thought Steffy was like her mom, but suddenly he saw more of Ridge in her. Steffy stomped off in a huff while Marcus looked on horrified that his girlfriend was treated so disrespectfully. Marcus asked Rick if he expected everyone to choose a side. Rick said he had gotten rid of Ridge, so there was only one side to choose.
Rick said not only was there only one side, he intended to ban all mentions of Ridge's name. Rick instructed Donna, Katie, and Marcus to go through the entire office and remove any mention of Ridge's name from doors, directories, business cards, parking spaces, etc. He wanted all traces of Ridge gone by the end of the day. Rick said it was a war and he had delivered a direct hit on Ridge Forrester. Rick said he would not let anyone stand it his way; it was his company now. Marcus wandered all over the complex and removed Ridge's name from every area. Steffy saw Marcus making the changes and ran off crying.
Katie said that Rick might be able to remove Ridge's name from the building, but he could not remove Ridge from Brooke's heart. Rick said Ridge was no good for Brooke.
Eric watched Owen's new office on the webcam and explained to Thorne that he needed to know if he could trust Donna. Thorne pointed out that Eric had never had to spy on Stephanie, because she was devoted to him. Thorne said Eric should stop spying on Donna and let her go. Thorne pressed for Eric to reunite with Stephanie. Thorne said with one word from Eric, their family could finally be restored.
Eric went home and asked Ridge to come back to work at Forrester. Ridge said if Eric wanted him back at Forrester, Eric knew what he had to do. Ridge later revised his statement and said perhaps Eric did not know what he had to do. Ridge said Eric didn't seem to know what to do about him, or Donna or Stephanie. Ridge wondered how Eric could give Donna a second chance, but not his own son.
Eric said he needed Ridge at Forrester. Eric said if the two of them could work side by side again, they could come up with a design that would rock the fashion world. Eric said Ridge should not think about job descriptions. Eric implored Ridge to just focus on the two of them, a father and son who could rise above any challenge.
Eric said all of his children had a place at Forrester Creations. Ridge said he was not Eric's real son, and supposed maybe that had played into Eric's decision to make Rick president. Eric said Ridge knew that Ridge's DNA never mattered to Eric. Ridge said perhaps it mattered more than Eric was willing to admit. Eric told Ridge that he had the love of his family and the respect of everyone in the fashion business.
Ridge said Rick was a selfish jerk who had manipulated everyone in the family. Ridge said he hoped Brooke would realize that Rick was the cause of the trouble between them. Ridge expressed that he was not sure if Eric would ever see Rick for who he really was. Ridge said he wouldn't be part of that, and he left.
Brooke went to see Rick and suggested that it was time for him to move out. Brooke said she wanted Ridge to come back home. Rick slammed his hands on the desk and said Brooke was not going to do that to him. Brooke said she appreciated Rick's concern, but Ridge was her future. Brooke said she and Ridge would be married with or without Rick's approval. After Brooke left the office, Rick had a tantrum and knocked everything off his desk with his cane.
Brooke went to Ridge and said he should pack a bag and come home. Brooke explained that she had asked Rick to move out so that Ridge could move back in. Ridge asked when that would happen, and Brooke said right away, Brooke said she knew Ridge was upset about her speech - but Ridge said he didn't want to talk about it. Brooke said when the two of them ran into one another at Malibu; it proved that they belonged together. Brooke said nothing could keep them apart.
Ridge said that Brooke could believe it or not, but there was one thing he wanted more then the presidency of Forrester, and it was her. Brooke said she wanted Ridge right by her side, and that nothing could get in their way.
Rick muttered to himself about not letting Ridge back into his mother's life. Steffy walked in and said that Rick might be able to take her dad's name off the building, but Ridge was the real president of Forrester and he would be back. Rick apologized to Steffy and said he needed her on his team, too.
Rick got a sudden burst of inspiration when he saw Steffy. Rick said if Ridge hated it when Rick dated Phoebe, Ridge would really hate it when Rick got his hands on Steffy.

Brooke surprised Ridge with “dinner on her” to celebrate him moving back in. Later in the evening, Brooke assured Ridge that Rick should not be a problem anymore. Much to Donna’s dismay, Eric assigned her to work on Owen’s surf line project. Eric hoped that Donna passed his test. Stephanie was floored when she noticed the changes Rick had made in the Forrester Creations building. Rick’s new plan to get back at Ridge, which involved Marcus and Steffy, was put into motion.

Rick stood in front of a mirror and practiced introductions. He could not decide if he wanted to be introduced as Eric Forrester, Jr., or Rick. Steffy walked in and caught him in the act. Rick asked if she thought "Rick" sounded like a kid's name. Steffy said Rick was a kid. Rick said Ridge was his age when he started at Forrester. Steffy said her father had had more class and didn't spend his first day on the job carving his initials into everything. Steffy said if Rick's plan was to drive a wedge between Ridge and Brooke by taking Ridge's job, Rick would fail. Steffy said Ridge and Brooke would reunite if they hadn't already. Rick looked annoyed by the thought.
Steffy said she appreciated what Rick did for Marcus. She said Rick was the first friend Marcus made when he came to town. Steffy added that she didn't have a problem with Rick. She only had a problem with Rick because Rick had a problem with her father, Ridge. Rick said he was glad to hear that. Rick said he knew someone who was very smart and very talented who belonged on the executive floor. Rick said he knew someone who should not be wasting time working in shipping and receiving: Steffy. Steffy said she was not ambitious. Rick said he thought Steffy was ambitious, and added that the two of them were a lot alike. Rick said Steffy thought her ambition was wasted on their family company because she wasn't a designer and didn't want to live on carrot sticks to become a model. Rick said the artists and models were driven by hard-headed business people like him and Steffy.
Steffy asked what if she was happy where she was. Rick said it would be his job to make her happy where he wanted her, and added that he did want her. A waiter entered and set down a try with two dinners. Steffy said she would leave, as she saw Rick was expecting someone. He said the dinner was for her; he wanted to woo her to accept a job in management. Rick said he overheard Ridge turn her down for dinner so he knew she didn't have plans. He pointed out that Ridge had ditched her for a better offer. Steffy said it was no big deal, it was just dinner. Rick asked her how many dinners and birthday parties and school events Ridge had missed over the years. He said Ridge and Brooke decided spending time together was more valuable than spending time with their kids. Rick added that he and Steffy had more in common than she realized. Steffy agreed to join Rick for dinner.
Steffy gave Rick her thoughts on some new marketing opportunities. She asked if he was listening to her. Rick said he wasn't listening, but he was paying attention. He started to make a move on Steffy, and she told him to get a grip, and reminded Rick that he was on the rebound from her Mom and had already dated her sister. Rick didn't listen and pulled Steffy into a kiss. Steffy slapped Rick hard and said he should never put his hands on her again. After she left, Rick said he liked a challenge. He grabbed a knife and stabbed it through a photo of Ridge, and announced he would never let Ridge have his mother again.
Brooke and Ridge were in bed together after their Asian feast. Brooke said she thought she and Ridge had reached the end until Ridge showed up at the beach and took her hand. Brooke said Ridge's touch was her "safe place." Brooke said Ridge was her happily ever after. She said she didn't know what they were waiting for. Ridge asked if she meant she wanted to get married. Brooke said yes, and pointed out that the two of them didn't need anyone's blessing or permission.
Brooke said Rick was better, and Ridge would be moving back in, and everything would get back to normal. Brooke said she regretted how things happened. Brooke explained how Rick had asked Ridge to move out because Rick said he needed space, but pointed out that she had not broken off their engagement. Not this time, Ridge said. Brooke said that nobody saw the way she and Ridge were together or how happy they were behind closed doors. Brooke said they would have to wait until they were old and gray to get their families' approval before they walked down the aisle. Brooke suggested they should ignore their families, stop waiting, and move forward. Brooke said that she and Ridge knew what they have together even if no one else did.
Ridge asked why she wanted to get married at that moment. He reminded her that they were just getting past a huge fight and questioned Brooke's timing. Brooke explained that she didn't think things would have escalated so far if they had made a vow of for better or for worse. Brooke said the two of them always had people who told them how wrong they were for one another and the tragedy would be if they started to believe it. She said they needed to believe in each other and added that she did believe in Ridge. Ridge said those were wise words.
Brooke said she hated to admit this about her son Rick, but she knew Rick felt he had to best Ridge at something. Brooke believed that since Rick had become the president of Forrester, he would be satisfied and stop his attempts to break them up. Ridge said he agreed, and would give Brooke the most romantic wedding in the world. Brooke said this time it would last forever and nothing would stand in their way.
Donna expressed mixed feelings to Eric. She said she was happy for Marcus' opportunity to go to Paris, but that she would miss him while he was away. Donna noted that Rick had made a lot of bold decisions in a short amount of time. Eric said Rick had a mind of his own, and he thought that was a good thing. Donna said she used to know Eric's mind. She said she felt like she was forced to compete with Stephanie. Donna asked Eric what he needed to know about her that he didn't know already.
Eric said he needed Donna to be a bit more patient. Donna said she had already waited a very long time. Eric asked her if waiting was hard for her and she admitted that it was. Stephanie arrived and Donna said she had to go. Stephanie pulled out a pack of photographs. Donna watched longingly from the doorway as Eric and Stephanie laughed together over Halloween photos of their grandchildren.
Donna walked into Owen's office and asked what he was up to. Owen said he had overheard some models discussing a rare orchid that was very expensive and hard to find. Owen said he had spent the morning calling all over to try to find one for Donna. Owen said that even though Donna told him that there was nothing he could do to win her over, he couldn't stop himself from trying. Owen said Eric and his family wanted to punish Donna for the rest of her life because she kissed Owen, but yet Eric was the guy Donna wanted to be with.
Donna stopped Owen and reminded him that he promised not to push her. She reminded him that Eric had hired him back at Forrester. Owen said he didn't know why Eric hired him back. He mentioned that Thorne and Felicia did all they could to thwart his efforts. Owen said he could not believe Donna was willing to stay with Eric after he moved his ex-wife into the house. Donna said Eric didn't move Stephanie in; he just didn't kick her out. Owen said he didn't know what sort of man would do that to a woman. He said Donna had a choice and didn't have to put up with that sort of treatment. Owen said Donna had other choices, and that she was looking right at one in him.
Owen asked Donna if she ever thought about what she was missing by not being with him. She admitted that she did. Owen locked the door and approached Donna.
Thorne walked into Eric's office and found him watching Owen and Donna on his webcam. Thorne said Eric should stop spying and let Donna go. He asked if Eric just wanted to punish Donna. Thorne said Eric and Stephanie belonged together. Thorne said he should end Donna's agony and end it with her. Eric said Thorne should stop jumping to conclusions where Donna was concerned. Thorne said the fact that Eric was monitoring Donna on a hidden camera proved he would never be able to trust her. Thorne saw Owen lock the door and head towards Donna. Thorne said, "Do it Donna, you know you want to," while Eric watched in disgust.

Owen said that Eric had his chance and he should not expect Donna to wait around for him to make a decision. Donna said Owen should stop pursuing her. She insisted that nothing would ever happen between them because she loved Eric. Owen moved closer and put his hands on Donna's shoulders. He said they had to act on what they felt before it was too late.
Eric and Thorne watched the scene unfold via the hidden web cam. Eric lamented that he did not ask Thorne to install a microphone. Thorne asked if Eric would really want a running commentary on his wife's infidelity.
They continued to watch, and Eric was delighted to see that Donna pushed Owen away and left the room. Thorne said Donna had almost crossed the line. Eric said yes, but she didn't cross the line, she stopped herself and left the room before things with Owen went too far. Eric said Donna passed the test and he would never question her love again.
Thorne said Eric needed to give it more time. Thorne said Donna was tempted by Owen. Eric said yes, she was tempted, but she didn't give in, so he was content that she walked away. Thorne said Eric and Stephanie had a bright future and a rich history together and he should not allow Donna to bamboozle him.
Eric said he had great affection and respect for Stephanie and the years they had shared, but Donna was his future. Eric said Donna brought something wonderful to his life. Eric made a phone call and left a message for his lawyer asking him to stop his divorce from Donna. Eric told Thorne that Donna loved Eric and the two of them planned to spend the rest of their lives together. Eric said he was headed home to resolve the situation. Thorne asked if that meant that Eric intended to kick Stephanie out of the house, and Eric said he wouldn't put it that harshly, but yes. Eric said the situation wasn't healthy for anyone.
Donna went home and took a bubble bath. She heard the door open and assumed it was Eric. She told her "honey bear" to come on in. She had a mask on and didn't see her visitor was Stephanie and not Eric. Stephanie massaged Donna's shoulders, and Donna waxed poetic about what big strong hands Eric had. Stephanie couldn't take anymore and pushed Donna's head underwater.
Donna screamed in shock when she realized Stephanie was in the bathroom with her. The two of them began to bicker about Eric. Stephanie asked Donna if her boobs were real. Donna gasped at the question. Stephanie commented that she bet Donna wasn't really a blonde either. Donna said Stephanie was just jealous that she made Eric happy in the bedroom. Stephanie said a couple couldn't stay in bed their whole lives and the only part of Donna that Eric loved was her body. Stephanie said eventually Eric would want to talk, and that Donna was all boobs and no brains.
Eric came in and caught them fighting. Stephanie said that Eric needed to make a choice, and that the situation had to change. Eric said she was right and that it was time for a big change. Donna went to get dressed. Stephanie said that she realized each woman offered Eric something different. Stephanie told Eric she understood what he got from Donna, and she understood what he got from her, and he had to decide which woman he wanted. She asked him to please remember that he loved her.
The phone rang and Stephanie left the room. While she was gone, Donna said that she belonged there with Eric and wanted him to admit it. When Stephanie came back into the room, she found Eric and Donna kissing and locked in a passionate embrace.
Rick apologized to an extremely irate Steffy for having kissed her. Steffy reminded Rick that he had already dated her sister, Phoebe, and had been engaged to her mother. Steffy stated that she was involved with Marcus and was not interested in Rick. Rick said he regretted the kiss, and explained that ever since Taylor dumped him, he had been lonely. He said Steffy reminded him of her mother, and he acted in impulse.
Steffy said Rick was disgusting. She said Rick dated her mother and if he kissed Steffy because she reminded him of Taylor, that was messed up. Rick said it wasn't disgusting at all and Steffy should be flattered. He said Steffy was strong and smart and feisty, just like Taylor. Steffy said she knew Rick was working her and that he should give it up. Rick denied it, and said he truly loved Taylor and he was brokenhearted when she broke up with him.
Steffy's phone rang and it was Marcus calling from Paris. Marcus said he didn't know why Rick had chosen him to go to Forrester International. Marcus said it was just too good to be true. When Marcus spoke those words, something clicked in Steffy's head. She suddenly realized why Rick sent Marcus to Paris. She hung up the phone and accused Rick of sending Marcus away on purpose as part of his evil scheme. Steffy said Rick intended to use her to hurt Ridge just as he had done with Phoebe and Taylor.
Steffy said she did not want anything to do with whatever plot was unfolding in Rick's twisted mind. Rick admitted that he hated Ridge. Rick said he truly loved Taylor. He said if Ridge had not made a move on Taylor, she and Rick might have been happy together. He said his hatred of Ridge ran deep. He said he hated Ridge for taking Taylor from him. He said he hated Ridge for messing up his family when he was a kid. Rick said he hated Ridge for hurting his mother so many times.
Steffy said she understood that Rick was going through a difficult time in his life. She said that blaming Ridge for all of his troubles was a cop-out. Steffy said it was wrong of Rick to kiss her. Rick agreed and said that he was sorry. Steffy asked Rick what the hell had happened to him, and reminded him that he used to be a really decent guy.
Steffy reminded Rick about the day she ran into him at the cabana when she was contemplating making love to Marcus and how her advice helped her. She said on that day she understood what Taylor saw in Rick, although he couldn't hold a candle to Ridge. Rick said that was what he'd been told.
Steffy said Rick was a really cool guy, but he had turned into a power-hungry creep. Steffy said she didn't want to see Rick lose the good side of him just because he was angry about a breakup. Rick said Steffy was right, Taylor really did a number on him and he had blamed it all on Ridge.
Rick said he wanted to make a powerful impression at Forrester. He said Eric had just promoted him to president and he wanted to make his Dad proud, but he felt he was doing it all without a single friend in the world. Steffy said Rick could have a friend if he wanted one. He asked if she was volunteering for the post. Steffy said yes, as long as they had some ground rules. Rick could never try to use her again. She didn't want his rage to destroy him.

Tuesday, November 25th
At Eric's corporate office, he and Donna agreed that they had experienced the best morning together since they had reconciled. Donna steadily expressed her desire to reunite with Eric and resume their marriage. Donna suggested that they simply pick up where they had left off before Eric's illness. Eric warned her that it would not be easy for her, due to the media coverage and hostile members of his family. He told her that he was proud of the way she handled business and the media while he was ill.
Meanwhile, Katie looked for Donna in Owen's office but found Owen instead. She remarked that she would probably find Donna in Eric's office. Katie commented to Owen that Eric had hired him only as a test of Donna's faithfulness. Katie assumed that Eric did not trust Owen. Katie cruelly pointed out to Owen that if Donna had wanted to be with him, she would have been. Owen responded to Katie's remarks by saying that Donna would never receive respect from the Forrester family and they would never accept her as part of the family. Owen concluded that it was time for Donna to realize that Eric was wrong for her. He told Katie that he planned to make his own move on Donna. Katie warned him about the consequences of making the wrong move.
Thorne paid Stephanie a visit. When Stephanie told Thorne that she observed Eric and Donna kissing, he strongly encouraged her not to give up on Eric. Thorne told her that her that he would not allow her to give up on Eric.
Thorne returned to Eric's office at Forrester Creations. He looked at the computer monitor, which showed the images from the hidden camera and revealed that no one was in Owen's office. A few moments later, he called Eric to the office to view some models.
On the Forrester Creation's outdoor terrace, Eric had a telephone conversation with Ashley Abbot. She told Eric that she was grateful for her position at Forrester International and then tendered her resignation. She informed Eric that she was moving back to Genoa City and had resumed her relationship with Victor Newman. Ashley asked about Ridge. Eric responded that things were complicated for Ridge at that time. Ashley wished Ridge and Brooke the best and terminated the call.
Katie went on a mission and visited Stephanie. She told her that if Eric had chosen Donna, there was nothing Stephanie could do about it and she should walk away. Stephanie explained that she would not give Eric up without a fight.
When Eric arrived back at the office, Thorne was waiting for him. Thorne begged him not to reunite with Donna. He reminded him that he was so distrustful of Donna that he had planted a camera in Owen's office to keep an eye on them. Eric agreed that Stephanie would always be a big part of his life, but he wanted and loved Donna. Thorne told Eric to take a look at the computer monitor. Eric saw Donna and Owen becoming romantic towards one another. Eric explained to Thorne that Owen was trying to make a move, but he trusted that Donna would tell Owen that she loved Eric. Suddenly, Donna and Owen began to make love. Eric was angry and devastated by what he saw.

Wednesday, November 26th
Eric was enraged by the sight of Donna and Owen kissing via web cam. Eric instructed Thorne to bring Donna to his office immediately. Thorne tried to convince Eric it would not be a good idea, but Eric insisted. Of course, Eric did not really see Owen and Donna kissing; Thorne hired body doubles to trick Eric into believing Donna betrayed him.
Donna came into Eric's office and didn't understand why Eric looked so angry. He coldly told her their marriage was over. Donna cried and pleaded with Eric, but he would not listen. Donna was convinced his family forced him to end things with her. Eric said no, it was because of her betrayal with that boyfriend of hers. Donna was startled because she thought they had worked through that in the past. She had no idea Eric viewed a fake video that implicated her in new unfaithful behavior.
Eric bellowed at Donna. He said he had given up his marriage and his family for her. He said he had fought his way back from a heart attack and a coma for her. He said all he had gotten in return was her betrayal. Donna vehemently denied it and said Eric could ask Brooke or Katie to tell him about her love and devotion for him. He said he didn't want to hear it, and asked her what sort of a woman would do what she had done.
Donna said they had the perfect marriage until the lunatic, Aunt Pam, poisoned Eric. Donna said after that everything went crazy and Owen comforted her while he was in a coma. She said that was nothing compared to what she felt for Eric. Donna said Eric was the love of her life and begged him to believe her. She asked him why he changed gears so suddenly, but he said he could not tell her. Donna said there was only one man she wanted to be with, and that was Eric.
Thorne removed all traces of the webcam and wiring, and paid the actors he had hired to portray Donna and Owen. He swore them to secrecy that they would never tell anyone what they had done.
When Thorne arrived at the house, Stephanie was packing her things anticipating that Eric planned to ask her to move out. Thorne said he couldn't tell her why, but he thought she ought to stop packing and just wait for Eric. Thorne said he thought Eric's eyes had finally been opened to Donna, and that Eric would need Stephanie when he got home.
Brooke asked Ridge if he had chosen a venue for their wedding, but Ridge was distracted by other thoughts. Brooke asked if Ridge was thinking about his parents. He said he was and was thinking about the choice Eric had to make between Stephanie and Donna. Ridge said Brooke should know which one he was rooting for. Brooke said she was on the opposite side. Ridge said "In the spirit of reaching across the aisle..." and kissed her.
Ridge said he had decided on a venue. He thought they should get married back at their special place, at the beach. Brooke was delighted. She proposed that they throw a large rehearsal dinner to celebrate their love, and have women in gowns, men in tuxes, and the press corps. Ridge said it sounded like Brooke wanted to do it like it was her first wedding. Brooke said it was her first, and her last.
Rick went to the rooftop and looked over. He had a flashback about his fall and his fight with Ridge. Steffy came up and Rick said a couple of cheesy come-on lines to her. Steffy told him to stop wasting his time, because she knew exactly what he was doing.
As Steffy worked out, Rick continued to flirt with her. While she lifted weights, he offered to spot her. When he tried to rub her shoulders, she slammed his hands into the bars and instructed him to stop trying to use her. Rick said maybe he was just attracted to her. Steffy said no, Rick's only interest in her was that she was Ridge's daughter. Steffy said Rick should stop trying to use her to get back at Ridge.
Steffy said that when Rick fell, he must have knocked something loose in his head, because he was not the same person. Rick said he didn't know what Steffy said, because he was watching her lips move when she talked and found them hypnotic. Steffy said Rick dated her mom, dated her sister, sent her boyfriend away, and hated her dad. Steffy said Rick was the last person on Earth she would be interested in.
Rick said Steffy had it all wrong. He said he and Phoebe had a very special relationship and Ridge took that away. Then Ridge took Ashley Abbot away from him, then Taylor, too. He said if anyone had it in for anyone, it was Ridge for him, and not vice versa. Rick said if he threw Steffy over the balcony, he bet she would hate him, too. Rick said Ridge had been walking all over him since he was a kid.
Steffy said Rick was exaggerating. Steffy said Rick was purposely trying to break up Brooke and Ridge. Rick said Ridge and Brooke had been married three times before, and failed. Rick said the reason the marriages broke up was because the people were incompatible, and that didn't change. Rick said Ridge might be a great guy, but not when combined with Brooke. He said the two of them were poison to one another. Rick vowed he would do anything to keep them from remarrying.
