So...that's it...the ZDF has outrun itself... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Earlier today I read that as of December 30th B&B (aka "Reich und Schön") is cancelled in Germany. The hosting channel ZDF announced the show's cancellation for the last viewing day of the year.
The problem is (and though attempted couldn't be resolved by introducing Y&R into the morning time slot) that the ZDF shows two episodes daily - since 2002. And even though that had quite a lot of material to cover - they didn't start with the first episode and have by now reached a time that is very close behind the original airings in the US (as a matter of fact - the barf wedding of this year is aired this week or the one after - on the other hand, with two eppies a day, it's over more quickly too).
Representatives of the channel admit that they simply don't have anymore new eppies after the new year and therefore will have to take "a longer break".
(Personally, I can think of quite a few shows they could air....
...but is anybody asking me?
