Hey I got this from some other website and I have actually have seen the clip they are referring to...I saw Susan in it the first time and was like WOW...but, then I read the interview and I get why she doesn't look that happy...I'm posting the interview and the clip so you can see why...they treated them like soaps are just stepping stones and the grande dames of the soaps like Jeanne Cooper, Kim Zimmer, and the Queen Susan Flannery are nothing...well excuse me Susan was already a big Hollywood actress if you count "The Towering Inferno" as a collection of all star talent from the past and the future in the 1970's my gosh it had Fred Astaire!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm just going to copy it here...
(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- While talking to Soap Opera Weekly Magazine, actress Jeanne Cooper [Katherine, "The Young and the Restless"] spoke out on the inappropriate way that CBS celebrated it's daytime family.
"If I was offended by anything it would be when it was announced that people get their training in soaps and these are the people that went on [to become stars]," she told the magazine about the display CBS put on in their daytime montage which included today's biggest stars like Julianne Moore, Vivica A. Fox, Meg Ryan, James Van Der Beek and Jason Biggs to name a few.
Jeanne wasn't the only one fumed about this occurrence as she was sitting alongside actresses Susan Flannery [Stephanie, "The Bold and the Beautiful"], Kim Zimmer [Reva, "Guiding Light"], and Helen Wagner [Nancy, "As The World Turns"]. "I said to Kim Zimmer and Susan Flannery, 'Are we still in training?'." Flannery for her part did not have a smile on her face confirmed Cooper.
Pointing out that long before there was an "Everybody Loves Raymond" or an "All in the Family," daytime has been there for CBS, "Westerns and soap operas started on television long before any of the other shows," she says. "Helen Wagner was there to prove it, God love her!"
If you’re looking at Les Moonves [President, CBS Entertainment] as the person to blame, look elsewhere as Jeanne says he wasn't pleased either. Even still, CBS had this to say in a statement, "We love our daytime stars. The success and innovation of our daytime lineup are a tremendous source of pride to the network. CBS at 75 celebrated all of CBS, including daytime."
