hi girls,
I just found another interview with her from 2006...
Ny Susan Flannery interview
Bold Aussie visit From: AAP By Erin McWhirter February 14, 2006
ON TV soapie The Bold and the Beautiful, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) weaves a tangled web of lies and deception. Off screen, Flannery's life is a lot less complicated.
She relishes the role as mother to 19-year-old daughter Blaise, and worries about normal things including wishing her daughter had completed university before travelling the world. Blaise left the US bound for Australia last week to spend a year Down Under visiting her boyfriend.
Flannery laughs at the suggestion that her only child is planning to tie the knot while here.
"You don't even know who you are at 19. It's going to be a great adventure for her but I would have liked her to finish college. You just have to accept that."
The television veteran also says she may visit Blaise this year.
"I have had two hit shows in Australia (The Bold and the Beautiful and Days of Our Lives) and have never been so I might," she said. "I have heard good things."
This year Flannery celebrates 19 years playing the "queen of control" Stephanie Forrester on the long-running show.
In the fashion world, the Forrester family rules from their stylish mansion in Beverly Hills.
Behind the glitz and glamour of the runway the show's matriarch Stephanie is fiercely protective of her family and despises her arch enemy Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).
More than 400 million viewers worldwide have witnessed man-eating Brooke slowly sleep her way through the male ranks of Stephanie's family leaving a trail of destruction in her wake.
Flannery, who last week earned another Daytime Emmy nomination for best lead actress in a daytime drama, says her days on the program are getting tougher.
"It's more challenging now," she said from her home in the US.
"It's not like when you do a play where you have the same dialogue. They have also changed the way we are shooting which means more shows in a shorter time.
"We do six shows in four days with 55 pages of dialogue per day. Ronn and I look at each other and say `we are getting too old for this'."
While Flannery is content as Stephanie for now, she may disappear from screens in the future.
"I think a couple more years then I will see what's what in life," she said.
"After that I might like to teach directing and acting at the university."
An accomplished director, producer and actor, Flannery shares a likeness to her character with a strong-willed nature.
She says the tricks of the trade come easily to her.
"If you talk to directors I have worked with over the years they will say I was always directing which is probably true," she laughs.
"I am bossy I guess! It does come naturally because you can see what has to be done."
Born and raised in New York, the Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning star received her BFA in Theatre at Stevens College in Missouri and attended graduate school at Arizona State university before tackling Hollywood.
Discovered by producer Irwin Allen, Flannery made her television debut in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
Later she was offered the role of Doctor Laura Horton on Days of Our Lives, staying there for eight years.
In 1987, when the world of the Forrester dynasty was launched, Flannery was there for the premiere of the hit show.
"I knew this show would run for over 20 years," she said.
"I didn't know that I would stay that long, but here I am so what can I do?"
Flannery, who has won three Daytime Emmy awards for The Bold and the Beautiful, says she was shocked to get another nomination.
"I never expect them," she said.
"I actually had no idea that the nominations were on and on-set they were having a cake and I thought it was for someone's birthday. That's when I got the surprise."
The annual 33rd Daytime Emmy Awards awards ceremony will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on April 28.

Thank you, Liesel! I didn't realize they were now taping 5 shows in 4 days. They are wearing Susan out. It is so sad for me to think she might leave B&B, though I want her to be happy. What will we do without her?
