Here's a SF interview I taped some years ago (I think about 10 years ago (?) )... As always it's a translation from Italian to English...
When I find it on my tapes, I'll also post another SF interview !!!
*********************************************
S: I'm starting to direct on the show and Bill Bell was very sweet to offer me this chance. I'm having a lot of fun. So, from there who knows?
Q: Once, in America, the actors that worked on soap operas were considered second-class actors. Has anything changed now?
S: Actually today is not as bad as it used to be. But, when I started they thought that if you had a job on a soap you couldn't act.
(laughs)
I remember once I was at Warner Bros to do an audition. While I was waiting, my agent was giving me advices and the last thing he told me was: "whatever you do, don't say you work on a soap opera!".
Once it was harder, now it's different. We're witnessing to a whole comunications revolution.
Q: ...question about the cast...
S: it's a very nice cast of actors. We're a very good group of people and everybody is nice. So the work is great!
Q: ...question about Italy...
S: Italy is magic. Tuscany is wonderful, the region of Chianti is delightful and magnificient. Sometimes, during the sunset, the sky becomes of gold...
It's just one of the most beautiful and romantic places in the world. Italians are very lucky to have it!
Q: ...question about BB success...
S: everybody thinks that in LA life is like that and I think it's a very good perspective. You know, the fashion world... and the characters are very rich and powerful. And this is what people enjoy watching!
When I find it on my tapes, I'll also post another SF interview !!!
