CBS.com: Congratulations on all the nominations. What have been the highlights for the past year for you?
BRADLEY BELL: Thank you. I think we have had some really solid stories. Sometimes if it comes together, with the story arcs that we tell, it can be good for a while and then it can sink. And this was definitely a year of rebuilding and we had some great performances and the storylines were good this year. So that's satisfying.
CBS.com: When it came time to start thinking about what show to submit for consideration, were there specific stories that you were excited that you had told and immediately thought about?
BRADLEY BELL: Well, the one that we submitted for the nomination consisted of the Malibu location shoot where Nick and Bridget were out there and Bridget has very emotionally lied to Nick about having an abortion. So we have that very emotional part of the show and then the other side was Stephanie trying to convince Brooke to kill herself for the good of the family, which had humor and was very offbeat and different.
CBS.com: Have you ever read fan comments online and found yourself surprised by their reactions to storylines?
BRADLEY BELL: They surprise me. I go to boldandbeautiful.com. I go on and go to the discussion group and I read what they say. There are some critiques of the show and very often very surprising.
CBS.com: What will you submit this time around for consideration?
BRADLEY BELL: I think we'll probably resubmit that episode and then choose one other one.
CBS.com: Are you excited about the Emmys being held in Los Angeles this year?
BRADLEY BELL: I think it's fantastic. We always enjoy the trip [to New York], but we've done it so many times that it's just nice for a change of pace. The Kodak Theater is great and it will be fresh and new and I'm looking forward to it. We'll see how we party L.A. style.
CBS.com: How will you celebrate all the show's nominations?
BRADLEY BELL: We had a little cake here [on set] and knowing this group, we'll probably all meet at The Grove and have a drink over at the Whisper Lounge. But other than that, you know how it is...it's back to work.
