Finding Forrester
Ronn Moss on Ridge Forrester, and a possible Bollywood project.

Most of the lyrics in Ronn Moss’ second album — Ronn Moss Uncovered — sound like something Ridge Forrester, his character in The Bold and the Beautiful would tell Brooke Logan. After 18 years in the fashionable world of the popular American soap, Moss is looking for an image change — as a rock star.
‘‘Every song represents an aspect of my life, from growing up in Hollywood to being divorced and relationships with various women,’’ says Moss, who’s in India to promote his latest cut.
Moss admits that playing Ridge gave him the courage to break into music. ‘‘I used to be an introvert, but now I’ve stepped out of my shell,’’ says the actor.
Both share an important red-letter day. Forrester made his entry into TV soap history on Moss’ birthday. Though under a stringent contract that forbids him from accepting other work, Moss wants to expand his portfolio.
While in India, he also plans to meet a few producers about co-financing a film. (He’ll be back in India on a performance tour in March.) ‘‘It’s a script a friend wrote about a man who goes back and forth in time. It’s a cross between The Sixth Sense and Somewhere in Time,’’ says the actor who occasionally does cameos on telefilms.
Moss’ interest in music pre-dates his time on the soap. He used to be part of a band called Players and even had a chartbuster titled Baby Come Back. Moss also sang a verse for the Forrester household. ‘‘I played the guitar and sang, but it didn’t come off very well. So, now I pretend like it never happened,’’ says Moss. Though the soap shows no signs of taking a bow, Moss insists he’ll never sing on TV.
