Fructis (by Garnier I think it is) is my favorite. Smells delicious. But I sometimes buy Dove or Wella or whatever. I don´t really have just one or two I always go with. I have some Oriflame Shampoo´s too. I love their Apple Shampoo & Apple Conditioner.

okay, you have a hairdresser in the room here so I'm letting loose. Garnier Fructis is AWFUL on your hair. If you try to highlight your hair with ammonia free lightners it will actually smoke from the crap this shampoo deposits onto your hair.
and another shampoo that is bad, actually the worse you can buy is pantene. its puts a wax buildup on your hair than makes your hair snap instead of being able to stretch like it's supposed to.
right now I'm using redken Blonde glam, i switch back and forthe between that and fashionista-now that smells yummy!

honestly anna, we do not have those here in the states so I do not know about them. chances are if you got them in a salon they're good as long as they are meant for your hairtype, if you bought them at a regular store then they are probably not as good. usually salon quality stuff is more concentrated so you don't use as much so in the long run it costs the same as buying 2 bottles of the cheap stuff. there is a reason salons sell what they sell and stores sell the other stuff. usually salon quality is more expensive because the stuff in them is quality and costs more too. I know here in the states you sometimes see proffessional stuff in the reg. stores and thats illegal here, only salons are supposed to sell them, and sometimes they are counterfeit or diluted products. One mistake people often make with fine or thin hair is buying volumizing shampoo and using everyday, if you do that your hair will become dry and break off and then your hair will really be thin. If you have any of these where you live they might be worth trying. Texture line-volumizing shampoo/conditioner Matrix, biolage bodyfying stuff and redken plump treat. also try doing a protein treatment once a week, do not confuse this with a conditioning treatment or moistureizing treatment, they are different. Fine soft hair often lacks protien and will not hold a style and is weak. Tri makes a good protien pack and infusim 23 products are amazing too.

I don´t think we have those in Sweden.
What do you say about the shampoo I used yesterday: Wella ?? Awful, okay or good?
I normally buy the cheap stuff cause I really can´t afford more expensive shampoo. And then I usually buy "for normal hair" - is that good?
My hair isn´t thin. Actually, it´s more thick than think. And very flat. No curls ever unless I curl the hair myself. I wish it could have some more volume, but I never buy volume-shampoo because I think it´s a load of crap. I´ve tried volume-shampoo and I see zero difference. So I stick by "for normal hairtypes".
And what do you think about "head & shoulders"? Should you use it - or only when it´s necessary? Or never at all?

I NEVER buy beauty products in stores (supermarkets (? ) ) I agree with U 100%..although they're cheaper there, in the long run U actually spend more money and for a lower quality! I usually buy shampos (and beauty products) at the chemist's shop or at hair-salons... As my hair were lately a bit dry (I don't wash them everyday...I don't think it's the best thing to do! Only 2-3 times a week) I bought this "Hair Repair Treatment by Paul Mitchell". It's a USA product...do U know it maybe?.... Actually I still don't know if it's good for my hair... ... and...like U said...it's a conditioning treatment I think? BTW, I will look for the shampoo-brands you suggested, basenjimom!!!! Thanks!!!!

I will go to my hairdresser and see what they sell there. I know they sell a lot of make-up there and some hairproducts of course, but I´ve never really looked at that stuff.
I haven´t cut my hair in 14 months now. It´s really really expensive to get haircuts in this town. Many people from here goes to another town when they´re getting a haircut because it´s only half price as it is here!!!!
I just wish I had more money. But living in Sweden is quite expensive. I can´t even afford my own apartment. Not even a really small one with only 1 room.

I don´t wash my hair every day either. I was about 3 times a week. (every other day, or sometimes every third day if I don´t have much time). I hate to wash it everyday. Usually my hair looks the best just after it is washed and 1 day after. And after 2 days, I really have to wash it or it will look dirty.

More if you wanna curl your hair or dye it. But in the city that is 45 minutes by car from here, you pay only about 15 Euro for a cut! It´s insane! But here in this town, I pay only 20 Euros for a haircut, because my father knows the hairdresser cutting us. She´s the ex-wife of his friend. But I seldom wanna go there, cause I can´t spare 20 Euros on haircuts when I wanna grow my hair long. I need to priority other things that I want. But I will go later this fall to get a haircut, only 3-4 centimeters.

[/quote] Paul mitchell is okay. I sell that where I work but i'd say its strengh is medeochre at best. Redken has a good treatment called deep fuel thats pretty good, just don't use it too often or it will build-up

BTW ceceila, head and shoulder is okay if you actually have dandruff and you only use 2 times per week or less. peopel confuse dandruff with dry scalp or scalp exfoliation( dead skin flakes) Dandruff is an actual disease that is greasy and contagious! dry scalp can usually be treated with something less severe and by cutting back on styling products or rinsing your hair in luke warm water instead of hot. Paul mitchell tea tree shampoo is good for dry/itchy scalp, you just need to leave it on for about 3-5 minutes to let it work.

Cheap! Although, you never know.... I think it might be cheaper to cut your hair in Germany than in Sweden. But the Swedish handball players who lives in Germany because they play in German clubs (Stefan Lövgren, Marcus Ahlm etc...) complained in media that you can´t get a good hair-cut in Germany - and they always squeezes in time to cut their hair in Sweden by Swedish hairdressers when they go to Sweden on vacation or to play handball. ;D ;D ;D ;D
