Bridget and Nick wed
The fourth time is the charm for Bridget and Nick this week on B&B.
"It's a beautiful wedding on the boat," sets up Ashley Jones. "They have their parents there- Brooke, Eric, Jackie and Masssimo- a flute player and a minister. Nick completely touches Bridget's heart."
Of course, Bridget has no clue that her groom is really hot for her mother. In fact, before the ceremony, Nick tracks down Brooke and asks her not to come to the wedding, because he may not be able to go through with it if she's there.
Brooke shows up anyway, but despite her presence, the wedding goes off without a hitch. "It's a happy occasion, with the complication of this sacrifice that Brooke and Nick have made," notes Bell. "It's like the genie was let out of the bottle the night on the boat and they're trying to stuff it back in. Nick will be looking at Bridget, professing his love and committment to her for the rest of his life, but we're left to wonder if he's professing is love to Bridget or to Brooke. He's doing it more for her than Bridget."
In Bridget's defense, "she loves this man, and everyone around her is telling her that now it's okay, so she's taking it at face value," muses Jones. "Bridget is not living in a fool's paradise. She picks stuff up, but she's choosing to believe in him. It's going to be even more devastating if - when- the rug is pulled out from under her."
For now, the rug is being pulled out from under brooke. "the Nick/Brooke fans will have a hint that Brooke is dying inside-she wears solid black!" guffaws Jones.
"The beauty of the story on some psychotic but real level, is that each side can be justified. All three players are victims of love, circumstance and timing."
But will Bridget see it that way if her new hubby and mom can't keep things bottled up?
Stephanies sickest stunt ever
If you think you've seen Stephanie at her worst, think again. "The fake heart attack was nothing compared to her next move," warns Bell. "Stephanie knows something is going on between Brooke and Nick and she's determined to find out what it is. When she gets involved, it really hits the fan. She's going to fight for Bridget."
Stephanie isn't the only one to watch this Fall. While the Bridget/Nick/Brooke triangle continues to unfold, Thomas and Ridge will go head to head in another Spectra/Forrester fashion showdown. "Spectra fashions is betting everything on the success of this show, so the battle between Thorne and Ridge is reignited," previews Bell. "Gaby's future hangs in the balance. There's going to be a great twist coming up with Eric, Jackie and Stephanie, and we've got another suprise wedding that should drop a lot of jaws."
So with that and Stephanie's next stunt, "There are bombs going off everywhere," touts Bell.
Top secret crossover
The Y&R and The B&B are planning a top secret crossover-and it's not for Michael and Lauren's wedding, which is scheduled for Oct 28. B&B honcho Bell confirms a prominent Y&R cast member will cross over to B&B in October. "I can't tell you who, because the actor doesn't even know yet." grins Bell. "My dad and I used to talk about crossovers at dinner and write it in the next day. It's still easy with Jack and Kay," he praises, referring to Y&R's head writers.
