From Scott´s site and Scotts visit to the B&B fanclub gathering;
Fans submitted cards with questions addressed to the stars for the Q&A session. My question, to John McCook, was one of the first answered: I asked if Eric was really still in love with Brooke after all these years. After finding me in the audience, John said that he didn't think Eric really was, but he thought that I might be.

Well, I said right away when Eric kissed Brooke, that he did that to hurt Stephanie and not because he loved Brooke.

he IS still inlove with Brooke why else would he still be covering up her lies instead of coming clean to his daughter again!

I think Eric's "love" for Brooke isn't love at all. Brooke makes Eric feel young, I think he's going through a mid-life crisis (again! Or some kind of second childhood). Having Brooke is his life (especially in his bed!) makes him feel youthfuul, verile, and attractive, and sexy, I would say that Brooke feeds his ego. And I think Eric is obsessed with Brooke, kind of the way Brooke was obsessed with Ridge. So basically, what I'm not so eloquently trying to say is Eric's "love" for Brooke isn't love for her but love for the way she makes him feel and love, essentially, for himself. With Brooke, Eric can act like a horny little teenager with no respect for rules or society. But with Stephanie, Eric has to step up his game and be mature and responsible. Eric's "love" for Brooke is a desperate attempt to cling to his fleeting youth.

I agree Niala... and Eric doesn't like it for a bit that she is considering Dante.. over him!

Oh yeah! Eric should realise green isn't his best colour and just get over himself! ;D Eric is lusting after Boo Ho but it's Stephanie he loves, and will always love, but jeez, doesn't he have the strangest way of showing it!?!?!? The Brooke/Dante thing is driving Eric bonkers, maybe that's the reason he'll turn to Tackie? After all, Tackie is another Boo Ho, just a few years older...the packaging may be a bit different but the product's the same. He can't have Tweedledee so why not go for Tweedledum?

Excellent post Maddy! And I agree with you whole-heartedly! Boo Ho is the fantasy, the escape, the floozy you run to when you want to forget about life. Methinks if you string a bunch of one-night stands together, you'll know what a relationship with Brooke is like. Some good sex, but oh the shame! ;D

A series of one-night stands! ;D Hilarious. That´s Brooke for ya. Most men´s dream-escape from real life when things get complicated. So in a way, she´s like a hooker that don´t take any charge.

You got it Cecilia! ;D ;D ;D A free good time, Brooke's like a bag of potato chips: Fri-to Lay! You know what, I think I'm gonna call her that from now on.

Wait, Cecilia, are you saying Brooke hands out sex freely because all the men are charity cases? ;D Just kidding!

Maddy, I agree with you that a relationship with Boo ho is uncomplicated--in fact, it's just plain convenient for the men. She's easy and she's one dimensional. Animals also relate on that simple level.
niala, Fri-to Lay is very creative! And you can't just have one--I guess that's why the guys get hooked so easily.

Unfortunately the Forrester men VERY OFTEN don't think with their minds or hearts, but with ANOTHER PART of their body (I can't explain it more!................) !!!! Even a blind could see that Stephanie IS the woman that TRULY, DEEPLY and COMPLETELY loves Eric. Eric knows it and he loves her for this reason....but sometimes he forgets it! The problem is that Eric is useless, inept and weak and the only way to feel useful is being a Red Cross nurse for Brooke everytime she complains for something (and this happens very often)....

Excellent post Anna! You know, I think for some reason, Eric's love for Stephanie scares him a little. I can't explain why but I get that vibe. Stephanie is Eric's one true love. And I guess being a one-woman man probably scares the crap out of him. That's how Brooke (Brookeho/Hogan/Boo Ho/Fri-to Lay) reels them in. She puts on the hapless damsel in distress act and all men within a 3 mile radius come running, helping her makes them feel like men.

Great post Maddy. You are dead on, Brooke is NOT the love of their lives, she is just something less complicated when there are problems in their more meaningful relationships. Infact that is exactly what Eric said to Thorne about his relationship with Brooke, back in the day. Eric said something like -You reach for something more exciting, less complicated and doesn´t realise that you threw away the best thing that ever happened to you, until it is to late, that´s what happened to me.Don´t do it Thorne, just don´t do it. (Well I guess Eric himself has forgotten ALL about this now, proposing to Brooke, going after Jackie)

I wish Eric would remember those words and go running back to Stephanie's door! After listening to Eric's speech to Tackie today...I wanted to knock Eric's teeth out! He made Stephanie sound like a vindictive old shrew. Which we all know she isn't. But Eric sure seems to see her that way...if that's how he sees her then I wish he'd take a few minutes to reflect on who made her that way. *hint hint* That'd be Boo Ho and you, Eric my dear. Brooke is the queen of distraction, her love for folly and pillow talk get men interested in her, but have you noticed, they never stick around? A few years and they're gone, back to someone substantial. I believe this Boo Ho/Tackie thing is just a phase, one that'll wear itself out when Eric realises that he needs something more than sex and a cheap (and I do mean cheap) fling. Stephanie is his soulmate. Now if only the big dope would realise that and shape up and stay with Stephanie for good!

Tell me about it! This is so silly, Stephanie is always kept under a microscope and all her actions are noted and remarked on, and judged so harshly!

Maybe Stephanie should just change tactic to that the others have, which clearly seem to work!
Steph should admit to everyone she is no saint and she has made lots of mistakes, but she is trying to be a better person now. Then go out and make another mistake and be forgiven, crying over how bad she feels about it and how much she hates herself for it. And people will forgive and forget, and that´s when she can go out and make another mistake and repeat the whole thing all over again.
That is apparenly the trick of getting away with dispicable things.

Tell me about it! Boo Ho would be there like, "you can't seriously let her get away with that!" and the guys would just shrug it off, like they do with Boo Ho. I would DIE laughing!

I would most likely die laughing about it too. But it will never happen, cause Stephanie is always the unforgivable. She´s damned if she do, damned if she don´t. Brookies complain about how Brooke is always the scapegoat. Yeah? For who? Stephanie only. All others don´t blink twice.
