I created Molly (so to speak) and though I hadn't always experienced in real life what she did, I could feel what she was feeling and certainly relay that to you-the viewer. I always believe in honesty and if I do not believe something I can't do it. Now to Lois, on the surface I am very different than this woman. However, again, when you break her down that changes everything. She was very smart, a family gal, a one man woman, and loved being a mom more than anything in the world...then I can play her, with honesty.
BUT FELICIA>>>> is me, I am her...it is wacky. I don't have to research this woman, I don't have to look any further than in the mirror. She is the mom of a 9 month old boy, so am I. She was rebellious and fought her mother tooth and nail, so did I. She LOVES a good romance, so do I and so on and so on. That is why jokingly I said to BB that if Felicia dies I have to change mediums...I will never find a character I like more--to play on a dayly basis.
That being said, for a film or for a guest star on primetime, I love challenging myself and playing things so far away that I have to search for the truth inside me and the character to bring the honesty to my work. Thankyou for enjoying Felicia and I hope that this answered your question.
