What room in a house (any house) do you like to decorate most? Which one is most fun to decorate? I love to decorate my own living room, with any furniture and stuff I want - no matter what the price is. If I could get it all for free. I alsolutely love looking for sofas and matching them with carpets, curtains and maybe doing some nice stuff around a fireplace.

Hard answer for me!!!! I LOVE FURNISHING/DECORATING ANY ROOM IN A HOUSE!!! And it's exactly what I'm doing now....furnishing my new flat in the city!!!! It's too funny: I've just chosen the floors (wood everywhere!! I love wood ), the tiles of the bathrooms and I'm looking for the kitchen now (I want it white...)

You know cecilia, I think I'll go in that appartment only during the wknds ...my offices are nearer to my parents' house...and in the streets here there's a hell of traffic all day long and esp in the morning...this means I should wake up much earlier!!! BTW, i'll see what to do...

BTW, i'll see what to do... You´ll get used to traffic. I grew up in an apartmentbuilding that is next to a street-crossing. A 5-way crossing no less. And I always have my window opened in my bedroom. I don´t wake up unless I hear an unusual sound, like someone cutting the lawn outside or a loud bang.

Oh no the problem is not the noise!! ;D ;D ;D The problem is that I have to get up earlier to reach my office bc my offices are more far and in the streets there's a lot of traffic (this means that you take 30 min instead of 15 min for 15 kms!)

NO TRAFFIC, CECILIA?? That's a dream!!!!!!!! Here it's hell instead!! Only late at night U can drive peacefully!!!!! The traffic we have can´t be called a trafficjam. Of course you have to make a few stops sometimes, but hardly ever longer than 1 minute stops. The traffic here is so much better than in the big cities. Sometimes it´s good living in a small town with only 17.000 people.

The problem here is that we are in a valley and it's very crowded! There are a lot of villages although not very big...but it's like a big town! I hate traffic coz it make U waste precious time!!!!!!! It's paradise in the South where I go in Summer...wide straight streets and no traffic, no traffic-lights...just great!!!

We don´t have any trafficlights in this town, although it is needed on some crossings where you can sit for like 2-3 minutes waiting to drive over. There´s like 2-3 places that could use trafficlights. Otherwise, we can live without them. We have many circulation-places instead.

You seldom have to wait longer than 5 seconds to drive into the circle. People not used to these circles might get stuck in them though, not getting out. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D That has happened to tourists.

Garage, I would say I like to expose there my bike and hang posters with fine cars. ;D Typical place for men. Right ? Sorry, I can't tell which room coz. even if I would like to try some decorating I can't. This is my mom's greatest hobby But I guess it's the way it should be. Women mostly got better sense of colors, style etc. So I'm not even trying coz. it would be a total disaster. ;D But I loved to read Your ideas my fav. Tayphanie girls. Kisses

We have a TV show in Sweden called "Roomservice" with one male carpenter, and one male painter. And each week, they get to re-decorate a room for someone. And each week, a new designer gets the job to design the new room, and the carpenter and painter gets to build/paint it like the designer wants it. And the designers used for this show are 50% males and 50% females.
On today´s show, there´s a male designer. I think they´re doing a bedroom on today´s show.
I love this show. The carpenter & painter have great humor and are fun to watch. And the place they re-do always turns out so fabulous.

There was something like that in Italy as well! I watched it once... And there was another show in which they made surprises....Among the surprises one could have his own house completely renovated....Some houses were really terrible and ugly, but after the renovating they looked so cool!

Isn´t there always some kind of surprise to these decorating shows? It´s like there HAVE to be a surprise. On Roomservice, the people living in the house has to move out for 4 days and not get to see the result until it´s finished. On another decorating show, the people living there has to move out for 2 days. On "Extreme Home Makeover" the people living there has to leave on a vacation and come home to a brand new house. Always the surprises.....

Actually I don't remember how it worked the first show I was talking abt... The second one was that someone received a surprise ( a trip somewhere for example)....but the real surprise was THE HOUSE! They didn't expect the NEW HOUSE AT ALL!

My husband decorated our house. He did an okay job too. But If I could I would make my house look exactly like the home on the british comedy "My Family" That''s an awesone home!
